Antman on all or nothing node immune to power drain?

So I was fighting a 5s antman on all or nothing node with OG vision and I was able to gather enough energy to fire off two L2 attacks and when neither of those power drained I used an L1 as fast as I could as he had been full for a bit of time hoping to get him below L3 and the L1 didn’t work either. Is this a bug?

Nope. Hits that glance won't trigger abilities (or something along those lines). Magneto will also make anyone using metal fail their power drains. CW can as well if he has armor stacks.

I’m also confirming Spark heavy attack doesn’t drain either

If you have pacify, try parry stunning and then launching that special for a better chance to power drain.

This guy hit the nail on the head. When you hit Antman and you see “glancing” appear, the hit cannot be critical, the hit will cause 50% less damage than it normally would, and abilities won’t trigger. So Black Panther will never inflict bleed on Antman on a glanced hit, for example.

In your case, Antman scored a glance on your special hit. Since the ability of the special is power drain, power drain didn’t trigger.

If you max pacify and stun Antman before hitting him with a special, you’ll have a higher success rate as you’re reducing the chance that he’ll score a glancing hit. This technique is helpful when fighting Antman in LOL with Starlord. Stun him and hit him with an L3 to have a much better chance of getting shock damage.

I think he means that it is an effective node for AM in the new AW setup since they removed thorns.

You're right; but I don't think pacify is necessary. I'm pretty sure he can't cause a glancing blow at all when he stunned; just like evaders can't evade.

I always stun him for specials where possible, and I don't think I've ever seen them glance; and I don't use pacify.

    Happy to be contradicted.
