Now I know why they did not release the milestones before today. This is a **** fest. Arena just got more tiring for me. 16.5 mill in 2 arenas where you can use only 4,5,6 stars only. That's a no go for me. Damn.

Terrible changes. Much more work to be done just to get the same number of units. Might be a good change for those who grind for the top champs, but a total letdown for the regular grinder who just goes for units for July 4th/Black Friday.

Well yes I agree. 16.5M for one is too much and I am a milestone grinder. I will not be able to grind for 33M. Just can’t. As an FTP, guess my hopes for July 4th are in the trash

Yeah, I focused on milestones across all the previous arenas also, so I'll def be seeing a decrease. I'm a bit frustrated with the game right now so maybe a good opportunity to reduce my play a bit.

The ratio is way smaller. 16.5 million points for 200 units in each 6* arena (might be 195-205 if I counted wrong)

And 2.1 mill with 1/2/3/4*.
All this to get the same amount of units as before excluding from BC. And the points per fight is the same.

The grind for all units before was
12Mil with 6*/5*
4 Mil with 5*/4*
1.5mil with 4*/3*
and whatever the 3* and 2* arenas were right?

Yep, this was exactly my worries when they announced the new arena structure. Before I could do all the milestones in the basic 4*, featured 4* and the featured 5* arenas. This would net me more units, more battlechips, more gold.

Oh well.

I legit hate myself now for not grinding the previous arena. Thought that this would be good FOR milestones ONLY, so left it completely. Who knew it would be this bad

Here's another way to view the changes from the old system - these are APPROXIMATIONS

Old 5* featured: approx 60 rounds of 6* champs to get full 12 million milestones
Old 4* featured: approx 40 rounds of r4/r5 5* champs to get full 4 million milestones
Old 4* basic: approx 40 rounds of 4* champs to get full 1.5 million milestones

So 140 rounds to get all milestones

Now compare that to the 2 new 6* arenas

Each has 16.5 million for max milestones, so you need 33 million to get all milestones

That is approx. 167 rounds of ONLY 6* CHAMPS!!!!!!! So not only do you need a large enough 6* roster to run them 167 times, it still is 20% more rounds than the old 140 rounds WHERE YOU COULD USE 4* and 5* CHAMPS

So this change is bad for all arena grinders

- high level rosters still need to put up 167 rounds of only 6* vs 140 in old arenas
- small 6* rosters will have no chance of getting both, or even 1 of max milestones

I ask the community to check my math but I really hoper Kabam reviews this change as it has greatly increased, not decreased, the grind

Yes. 540k for 3* and 250k for 2*. And since champs rarely crossed across arena, it wasn't too hard to do all arena for a regular TB or Cav player.
Now, I honestly don't see a way I can do arena to get these units.

It used to be 640 000 points in the 3 stars arena and you know what ? It was FINE ! It worked. Nothing to change here. No need to fix anything when it's not broken... for christ sake, you are an infuriating company sometimes ! And don't come here replying that we can score more points now, not everybody got the 6* roster for that, at least I know I won't be able to keep a 3x streak when I'll be facing killer teams of 6r3 sig 200 Things, Nick Furys and Dr Dooms with my handfull of 5r5 and mostly 5r4... you are so totally out of touch with reality it's maddening.

Ok, so no more arenas for me. I get it. Thanks for nothing.

My default arena when not heavy grinding was the 4* basic. There's no arena that has the same unit rewards for that level of effort.

The 6* for 12m points gives 140, so there's that. But there's no equivalent to the 4* featured. Moving that effort into the 6* has nowhere near the same rewards.

Overall a step back for grinders, but Odins more valuable relatively I guess.

Honestly I really liked doing arena , but this is pretty ridiculous. I went from easily being able to do the bottom 3 arenas for 270 units easy. Now I'll be lucky to get even close to that. The summoner trials only gives 140 units and I would have to put up 4 or 5 mill in each of the others to come close to the same units. I don't have all that many 5 or 6 stars ranked up, so that's an impossible task. Not sure if they are just trying to make sure 100% of the player base hates arena's instead of the 80% that used to. But congrats. I think you accomplished it.

I dislike arena but even then I try to get the first few milestones of the lower difficulties to get units.

Now it'll be even more exhausting so big no from me. I'll think about skipping arena for quite some time.

I was trying to get back in arena and now I don’t even wanna do it. Kabam messed up big time on this because the milestones suck. 10 mil for about 300 units or less. Not worth it.

It would be just better to go back to the old arena format on round 2 of Shang chi or the next featured champ

For me personally with an extensive 6* roster able to cover the vast majority of the milestones across both, it’s a huge upgrade, but for those with much lesser rosters I definitely see the glaring issues
