[MERGED] Gwenmaster

Anyone else having trouble getting Gwenmaster out of her first phase? I’m doing what needs to be done and the one time that I get 4 prowless charges on her, the timer runs out and she doesn’t throw her s2. Instead she continues to attack until she has her s3 ready and throws it instead. I spent close to 500 units vs her this last fight and only did 20% damage. I’ve done probably 95% exploration of 7.2 itemless so I know it’s not all my playing skill.

    You just gotta intercept a lot. I found the best way was just 3 or 4 hit combos and backdraft intercepting, unfortunately sometimes she just doesn't bite which sucks.

    No, it sounds like it’s entirely playing skill that’s the problem.
    Intercept to pause the timer, when she has 4 prowess (which she gains in the same manner as emma frost) you need to evade her sp1. If you’re intercepting enough then the timer is more than long enough.
    I’ve taken the fight 7 times in total and never had an issue with that phase

    I was intercepting fine. I actually found a video after I posted this that breaks the fight down in better detail. Just gotta get my units back up. I only have 4 more paths left and 7.2 will be 100% so I’m sure y’all can understand the frustration.

    I’m finding the 3rd phase against Gwenmaster to be tough. Just can’t seem to intercept her enough as the time always beats me

    Which node is on? From the path you took I mean.
    The path I was doing was the encroaching stun path.

    I'm intercepting her heavies with mags heavies, timer is getting paused but armours aren't getting removed. Tried same with the doom heavy intercepts as well.

    Now I'm getting really frustrated, I've used many boosts and revives already thought I was doing something wrong.

    You remove an armor when you break a block. After that special attack she gains an auto-block charge so by you heavy countering when the thing is active you are effectively 'breaking her block'.

    When you heavy normally that's not happening. You need to counter with a heavy when that symbol is active, when it isn't beat in with light ending combos (parry L-L-L-L) to break the armor and get that stage down.

    Counter heavy earlier. It happened to me as well but I realize I was releasing my heavy during/after her recovery animation

    Somehow, when having the unblockable node she gets bigger and bigger lol.

    After you lose your combo, she shrinks back to her original size..

    Naw, the dude successfully removed one armor up, but tried to heavy counter again when she didn't have the autoblock charge (cuz she hadn't thrown another special 1) and thus no armor was removed.

    I faced the same issue as well. I figured it was too much of a hassle complaining in the forums and just decided to counter heavy and then bait heavy even if she did not throw sp1 and countered with 4 lights.

    I also had same issue with this phase, is the only part of a well worked fight that really does not function well
