Energy capped but paths are getting longer?

Why has energy been capped at 70 but content such as Act 5 require 80+ energy per path? Please clarify Kabam. Also does this mean summoner levels, mastery points and energy will be increased in future?

They want you to spend units on refills. So, if you don't want to do that. Then press the help button and wait or go do arena while waiting. Or just jump on the next day and finish?
