I was pretty excited when I just read the announcement .Now after looking at the things I'll get as a ftp and after reading the comments,I wish I hadn't got excited in the first place.Such a let down.But free stuff even if it's little is khay.

Meh don't like the resort pass thing at all. Some clarification on whether the calendar will run or not would be nice.

Thanks for this event Kabam.
As a FTP, I already got my eyes set on those bundles I'm looking for.
At most I would expect to atleast have 2 tokens of each type from those Summer Camp milestones.
So without spending IMO it's a win situation cause I got something to grind for this month.

My question is - do you have to buy both the Resort Pass and the Resort Pass Plus to fully unlock the Plus features or will just buying the Resort Pass Plus unlock both?

Shafted why? FTP gets better rewards this year than they did last year, seemingly...

If you get a shiny new toy but your brother who paid money got an even shinier new toy, does that make your toy worthless?

If ftp can get everything shown in the store then I see no problem and anyone that’s still complaining is just being ridiculous tbh.

Why on earth makes this so confusing.

Can’t we just be clear what level of rewards get for each tier to enable people to make simple purchase decision.

Have no issue people spending getting more. But no matter how many times I read the intro it seems impossible to work out what I get (daily/overall) if I spend the extra 🤦‍♂️

If this is replacing Summoner Appreciation, then I think we have a small problem. Unless people who pay are getting EXTRA and FTP are getting the same amount, this is extremely unfair. You are basically saying that to get rewards that were originally there in the title as APPRECIATION rewards for just simply PLAYING THE GAME, we need to pay. What happened to appreciating summoners and rewarding them for their participation in the contest? If this is really what is going on, then you need to change your way of thinking Kabam and stop being money-driven.

Honestly, I don't mind the pay wall, as others have said, the game needs to be funded. I do however think this is obviously a replacement for the summoner appreciation calendar (even if they haven't said that) and they need to show more transparency in what rewards you can get before paying, what rewards can be bought for £15 and then what further rewards are available for an additional £20. I'm pretty sure most people are assuming (rightly or wrongly) that the "free" rewards are considerably less than last years Summoner Appreciation calendar. Lack of transparency is hurting kabam right now and I fear that they are not being as transparent because the naysayers are right. If they were to show free rewards and what you get from the cash payments and it is proved to be similar to last year people would (I hope, lol) be less inclined to complain.

YOU ARE STILL GETTING FREE STUFF, MORE EVEN THAN LAST YEAR!!!

I don't speak for kabam but it's painfully clear that they brought it back, but instead of it just being a calendar, they added some flair to it and made it a summer event. It's still the same duration, it still takes functionally no additional time in your usual day to participate, and it let's you have a bit more choice on the order you get the items in.

There is ALSO another part of the event you can join - IF YOU WANT TO. You don't have to pay for that if you don't want in.

Think of it like a local small carnival that you like to go to. You really like the hotdogs and your kids have fun on the slides in the pool. This year, however, they've expanded it significantly! There's a lot more rides, there's a big wheel, bumper cars and lots of world food carts - but your hotdogs and slides are STILL there! Nobody is making you buy more tickets for the bigger rides or spend more on the expensive fancy food.

Am I making sense here? Can someone say if they understand what I mean?

Things like this keep the game alive, you have no need to spend if you would not like to. I’d say that’s a pretty damn good situation.

Free to play players don’t add as much to the game as they think, and this sense of entitlement for a summoner appreciation calendar that has and will never be guaranteed is like you said, embarrassing

Iam little but irked that everyone simply says FTP are entitled. As an FTP, it's a little bit irritating to be bunched together like this. Please refrain bunching FTP as a group similar to how we should not bunch every spender as a whale and unskilled.

That said, it's obvious why they made it like this. It is to prevent lower tier players from getting materials too big for their progression. I like this event. Gives me something to do.

Actually DNA and I think very similarly in most things. We've had arguments in the past but I respect his opinion. I'm very much more to the point vs lengthy posts. He stated exactly something I've conveyed before about revenue and such. I just didn't use graphs and stuff. I've spent a great majority of my career in retail management. Maybe it's why I'm a bit jaded since I deal with in real life face to face with actual customers. I have to be softer at work because I don't want to be fired. DNAs posts makes a lot of sense to me because it's exactly how revenue trends work. People see that MCOC reported making "X" amount of dollars for whatever time frame and think, they are fine, they should give us more stuff. They can afford it blah blah. What they really don't understand is that reported revenue isn't profit for either Kabam or Netmarble. In my world, we live by the 5 penny rule. That's to make 5cents for every dollar earned. So like DNA pointed out, a $5 purchase, isn't $5 profit. Each app store takes it's cut and then with the rest it gets spread out to other areas.

They have to pay salaries for everyone under their company umbrella. They have to pay the bills like building rent, taxes, server space and services, pay to advertise, dump much of that back into development of of there games and continued development of current games, supplies like computer parts and design software and the there's royalties to Marvel which probably account for much of where any of their profits go.

So after all that, if they have 5cents left over for each dollar earned, they're doing very well. My company, even with the pandemic "earned" over a billion dollars in revenue. By no means is anyone swimming in a large room full of gold coins. I believe we ended the year around 3 pennies. We do things for our customers like events and drawings but those change over the year.

People just need to understand what it means to run a business and what it takes to make it successful. Kabam knows this as much as I do, but they'll never make everyone 100% happy.

But people are still going to get free stuff. In 2017, Kabam changed the event to a 4 week event and only had a 1 week calendar on week 4. But other weeks we had XP/BC boosts, halls of healing a fortune. So if people are upset about not have a 90 day calendar,.why aren't they equally upset about not having the other things from past events.

Focus on what you are getting and what you've continued to get. This amazing game that has withstood 7 years of pretty fierce competition in the mobile gaming market. Other Marvel games aren't doing as well as this game.

Exactly. Those samples are so far into the store though. Costco should let me use a motorized cart to get to them. That's exactly how these people sound.
