**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.

There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.
Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Just in general, I think that Kabam could have gained a ton of goodwill by saying "hey, there's a bug and we advise against doing harder content, but we'll send out some weekly resources to help you with that content if you choose to pursue it". Instead, they chose to essentially tell people to stop playing the game, grinding everything to a halt. That has been absolutely disastrous for morale, because there's not a lot of "easy" content to do in the game. If people were having issues clearing the EQ and Kabam really didn't want to send out solo content relief resouces, another possible solution could have been to scrap the Cavalier difficulty this month and instead reward the Cav rewards for UC difficulty, the UC rewards for Master difficulty etc. That way, people could still play EQ and earn their regular rewards, without doing "hard content".
As for the SOP, I think not comping people for the SOP has the potential to really bite Kabam in the butt when the "real" compensation eventually comes out. They've told us to hold off from doing hard content but have continued to run the (supposedly) hardest content in the game without any help clearing it? If people had been adequately compensated with revives and potions to help them through those fights each week, the pressure wouldn't be on Kabam nearly as much as I think it is now.
However, they have not. Instead, they've left people to either use an extraordinary amount of resources to clear it anyway (if they've had them at hand) or to simply be unable to reach the proper milestones. Revives and potions can be easily compensated, but compensating people who missed out on actual SOP rewards because of the bug will be a lot harder. And if they fail, there'll most likely be hell to pay.
I was lucky enough to earn all but one milestone so I am in no need to be compensated for missed rewards, but I know that there were a lot of people who suffered from these bugs a lot worse than I did and who might therefore reasonably have been unable to get where they should have otherwise gotten in the event.
I think Kabam did a great job with the compensation packages for both AW and AQ, and I wish they'd done a similarly great job with their solo packages. The two packages that were sent out were not nearly enough for two months of issues and there probably should have been separate SOP reward packages sent out as well.
I see some people calling those who want to see 6* nexuses etc entitled, but I honestly feel as if even that is aiming too low regarding compensation. I personally have no idea what could be enough compensation for all of these issues, but just a new 6* ain't gonna cut it. Even if I pulled a 6* Hercules, would that make this summer "okay"? No way.
I don't demand anything in particular, I just...I don't know what will be enough. I don't know if anything can be enough.
However, Kabam also said that they would include "some gifts as a thank you for sticking with us while we worked to address this problem". I agree that not loads of shards need to be compensated as what we've missed out on, but in terms of a gift for thanking us for sticking around, there's not much that fits the bill except for crystals/shards.
My thoughts would be very different if there was a consistent flow of normal revives and potions similar to aq items. But, kabam missed out on that and need to compensate for the missed shards and resources during this bug.
Kabam themselves have said there will be a gift alongside it to thank us for sticking with them, based on progression level.
Concern was expressed about the overall compensation package for the gameplay issues players were experiencing taking longer to put together, but this is because there is much more work involved in it than there is in changing out one set of potions/revives for another. Because it has to cover every player, across multiple game modes, we have to measure how players were impacted from when the issue first popped up until now and determine how to address it. We appreciate how patient players have been, because doing this accurately and in a meaningful way will take more time than swapping out AQ potions for AW potions. We could try to rush a package out before the full impact has been accurately measured, but we think the end result will be better for the players if we do our best to be thorough here.
