With the announcement of 6* Hype in next months's pool . He might be available slowly and gradually to everyone in basics too . Does this changes the entire face of cosmic class ? Will a 6* Hype be better than the current 6* top dawgs of cosmic class ?

There are a handful of champs who have been available in cavs as 6* pulls, but still aren't in the basics yet. Don't hype up Hype being widely available any time soon.

In my opinion, I already consider him as the best cosmic. He’s just so reliable

If Hype was the best cosmic now he would be after an extra 30% attack too. Fully boosted 5/65 Hyperion isn’t better than 6* R3 CGR or Herc, so why would a 6* R3 Hyp be better?

He doesn’t have the utility or damage to compete with Herc and CGR. He’s still damn awesome and I would love to get him as a 6*, but as time has gone on, his utility hasn’t kept up as much as the other gods of older years like Archangel and quake. Definitely one of the top cosmics, just not the top any longer.

He doesn’t have the utility or damage to compete with Herc and CGR. He’s still damn awesome and I would love to get him as a 6*, but as time has gone on, his utility hasn’t kept up as much as the other gods of older years like Archangel and quake. Definitely one of the top cosmics, just not the top any longer.

On the surface, its just poison immunity, furies/buffs/power gain, regen , but theres more to it than just that. Doesnt need any synergies, doesn’t need suicides. High energy resistance/physical resistance. Regen is very potent. Access to incinerates and with that easy sp1 intercept, makes things like stun reflection a joke. Incinerates also work for things like selective timestream. Caustic fury since poison immune and furies. Did I mention how easy and useful that sp1 intercept is given his massive power gain? Lets even a player that hasn’t fully mastered intercepting play against stun immune or unblockable . I’ve even used that sp1 against evade champs (soloed v2 adaptoid with it back in like 2019). Didn’t have to bring a dud like proxima on the team to counter it as well. The potent power gain also has its uses for nodes like lifecycle since you can easily get to sp3. The only thing Hype lacks are some unique synergies.

In summary, No one can say he lacks utility, even compared to the cosmics today

Hype is insanely good but Utility wise CGR, Hercules and CG all have better utility and in 2 cases they have better damage aswell so no, it wont change the top. He will be a top option for sure but hes not dethroning anyone.

I have a 6* rank 3 CGR and a 6* rank 3 Hercules. I firmly believe 6* hercules is the best cosmic in the game, his immortality buff is the most broken mechanic introduced since ghost's phasing. I think CGR is simultaneously underrated and overrated. He's better than the No UtIlItY oNlY dAmAgE crowd thinks he is but he simply does not perform the way his devout followers believe he does if you just look at who statistically are the most used champions in end game content.

Now going onto hyperion I would place him as the second best cosmic, hercules simply is better. Better damage that's 100% reliable and he straight up has way more utility than hyperion with the immortality buff alone.

His energy resistance is extremely underrated I solod 6.3.3 havok (pre nerf) with him bc of it. He has so much utility built in, like you said his regen is extremely good heals about 65% hp iirc his power gain is also prob the best in game.

Act 7 global, 6* adrenaline, and potency of his buffs could change. Could be a huge comeback but idk if it tops CG or herc. I would definitely say he’s better than CGR however now that he is available as a 6*, but we would have to see how potent his buffs become, and if he doesn’t get the SW treatment.

Some good points, and I’m not denying he has utility. But when you look more closely at what you’ve said, caustic temper, selective time stream, stun reflection. These are very, very rare nodes. It’s quite a niche argument. There’s maybe 2 or 3 paths of each in the game? Yeah he has general use, but nowadays, CGR and Herc cover more than him, and better IMO.

CGR or Herc don’t need synergies or suicides either. Back in act 6, maybe the special intercepting would be more useful, but at the moment not much content hits hard enough to need to rely on special intercepting. And Herc has his unblockable for openings, and CGR has a higher block proficiency than Dr Doom.

His regen, resistance and power gain are incredible for sure. And there’s no denying he’s a beast of a champ, for me, it’s just not enough when you compare him with the likes of CGR and Herc. The buff control, power control, heal control and other general utility CGR has, and the unblockable, stun Immunity, miss counter and other general utility Herc has shines over Herc for me. Plus, Hype can’t keep up with either for damage.

yeah people do overrate his damage, it’s not the end all be all. But they underrate his utility. Which is why any time I’ve had this debate, I’m usually talking about his utility and not his damage.

Yeah people overestimate him, but he still does much outside of being a damage god. And Angela is not better than him

Possibly but they haven't been out in their buffed forms to really establish their presence in the game's meta. Venom has established his value in end game story/ variant content, map 7 AQ and high tier alliance war and is undoubtedly a meta champion.

I have high hopes for both angela and king groot but they simply haven't been used and are not currently being used as much as venom is in high tier gameplay.

That’s factually wrong. Whether you think CGR’s utility is better or worse than Hype, we can’t take your opinion seriously if you don’t base your opinion on fact. Buff control? Energy mediums? Armour break? Heal control? None of these ringing any bells?
