What direct damage doesn't hurt Stryfe?

In Stryfe's abilities it states he can reduce passive direct damage by 100% however he seems to still take damage from all the horrible nodes such as bane. Is there actually any damage he prevents with this ability?

    He also prevents Havok's plasma detonation. Just trigger the 10th plasma with a medium hit

    He must be bugged because I'm still taking damage. I've fought electro and still took static damage.
