Like even if you haven't dropped down much, I can't imagine why people would complain about having too much glory. It's extra resources you can buy.
If you drop down Maps, then you lose glory and ranked rewards. Even maybe honour rewards.
The glory compensates that.
Earlier I had thought the same as you. Like a couple weeks ago.
But I have seen friends use items like nothing when the game is too broken for them.
And I know alliances who have dropped maps and lost rewards.
The problem my alliance has is that these issues have completely demoralized our members, leading to a vast reduction in participation in AQ (and AW). We were on a roll before all of the bugs but then they came and absolutely steamrolled us. We were getting a bit over 3K glory per week, and now we're down to just over 2K. Five revives and a couple of potions aren't going to magically let us back into our previous tier of weekly rewards.
I would have welcomed some glory, even if 3000 glory might have been overkill. Although, I can only speak for my alliance. Maybe others were legitimately missing out on 3K glory a week. For us, we're missing out on maybe 1000-1500 glory a week + all of the additional rank rewards from placing lower overall.
And regardless, Kabam can't say "don't do hard content" while not giving out the appropriate compensation for not doing that content. High-map AQ is hard content, and my alliance has both dropped down to lower maps and switched off mods to be able to complete it at all. Even with the compensation package last week, it became painfully obvious that it did not allow us to reach our normal level of rewards gain.
It sucks. My progression has stalled considerably since these bugs began. 1000-1500 less glory means maybe a couple of t2a less each week, or a decent chunk of t5b. Those kinds of losses really add up over time.
The AQ compensation to me was not just compensation but also a bit of a regular sweetener for sticking around - it shouldn't have just been seen as a make-up for issues.
They could have lowered it by half or so (6k was a lot so maybe send out 2-3k instead). But sending out zero is going to the other extreme when most of the problems are still here.
If 3k is so big for you, I would really appreciate 1k glory.. But please I just want to know if you guys are even discussing this internally or not?
