Rank up query: 4* SL to R5 or 5*IP to R3 ?

Hi people need help upgrading the two champs mentioened above.
I have very limited sources to get t4cc so really have to think this through.
I can only upgrade either one of them and then wait for 2-3 months before i get another 3 tech t4cc. So who do you think is better option to rank up.
4star starlord(awakened) to rank 5
Or
5 star iron patriot(not awakened) to rank 3

    Try as I may, even with 4* going the 3* route, I can hardly justify ranking IP to level 3.

    Haha i know IP is much hated but really he is not that bad in defence also i just opened a 4* vision so i guess he is in contention too.. he is not awakened though

    He is not great in defense either and unawakened is fairly worthless on D. The IM/SIM/IP style is quite easy for most to fight. Take SL and don't r3 unduped 5* unless they really don't have to have the dupe; it pays to be patient for the ones that are really worth it.
