If someone is cavalier when the deals are available and gets thronebreaker this weekend, will the cyber deals switch from cav to the thronebreaker deals?

Can confirm this. According to Mike, the post was to say that there won't be separate deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But changing progression changes the deals
