Mephisto taking damage from incinerates

Based on description, mephisto should not take any incinerate energy damage and just gain power. But when i used mephisto against bishop in sinister six side quest, he was taking damage from bishop’s steady release.

It's not from incinerate. When bishop is incinerated he goes into overload and deals damage by removing prowess effects
