I was fighting an Ebony Maw (easy fight with HT), however I came out of the fight with 20% health. How? Well I parried Ebony Maw, heavied (to get myself back to max temp) and my heavy GOT PARRIED! Not resisted...PARRIED!
I have heard this being mentioned before but never experience it. Wish there was theatre mode so I could share, sadly I did not record.
I see YouTube vids and livestreams of people being able to bait the ai with no hassle.
Me tho? I can NEVER bait the ai to throw the specials. It's not that I don't know the methods, it's just that they don't do it.
Usually they only throw their special attacks if:
- the instant they get to Special 3
- Their special is nearly impossible to avoid
- Death touch
- They can special intercept me the instant before I hit them
Even more so because the game isn’t in a good state, but the game has always has issues.
But Time will tell.
I feel that the ai is much faster now
There aren’t many things that make the game feel actually unplayable. For me, I’ve managed to deal with the parry problem even if it’s annoying. Changing timing of when to parry is possible, even if it’s a pain. And at least we’ve had constant updates and feedback about this issue.
But there is nothing you can do to stop the AI trying to do their best impression of MJ and moonwalk back into their corner, not throwing a single special until you dash back, then they time it perfectly to catch you.
This issue is making the higher tiers of the game feel unplayable to me, and I don’t mean “the buttons are too small” unplayable. I mean I don’t want to play those parts of the game because the AI stresses me out.
I hope that since the holidays are coming to an end, we can get people on this issue and actually get a response. Because the combo of this issue killing my drive for higher tier content, and the utterly deafening silence we have about the issue is worse than the parry issue has ever been.
However, I'd rather say that I experience more noticeable issues when parrying and false moves when I don't trigger them. I mean I can recognise between when it's my fault and AI punishes me versus, and when it just doesn't work properly.
