Since you award people specific year class rank up gems for completing variants, why don’t you make an event where champs from those years have to be used? If that’s not the plan, why give rank up gems for champs from 2017 instead of just offering a generic gem? It doesn’t make a lot of sense, particularly for 5* champs when the game has moved on to prioritizing 6* champs.
