Question around fight results in Battlegrounds

In this fight, I was defeated in the fight between my attacker Domino, and the opponents defender Sorcerer Supreme even though Domino clearly won the fight.

Is the defeat in part related to the final score the opponent had in his fight against my Aegon?

If so, is a victory tied to the final score of the round, and not the fight?

    you and the opponent each have your own fights and are scored on the 3 factors shown in your screenshot. You did well in your fight, but your opponent did a bit better, so he won the round

    You both defeated the defender for 30k points. Now you get points for how much health you both have remaining, since they have more they win
