So then you’re also retroactively crediting dablooms to players who purchased odins in order to buy the 7.4 deal already?

Many bought those rather than waiting for spring cleaning in order to get that deal.

If you do not do the above, this would be the very definition of bait and switch. It would also be showing EXTREME favoritism to one group of the player base over another. You have stated clearly and repeatedly that this is not what the contest is about, and, as a result, you will not tolerate it. Do you truly mean that?

    It's a good argument that players bought units to get the resources before anyone knew it was ever going to come back, a player today can preload those units and get enough dubloons to buy roughly 1 more t6b and t3a.

    I bought it but it was all from earned units, however, if anyone wants to credit my account 1.2million dubloons I wouldn't object 😉

    Bait and switch is advertising something and not having advertised item available and pushing the consumer to buy something more expensive in it's place. That's bait and switch. It's comical that you tell someone else to look it up and you're wrong to begin with.




    What exactly is your problem with this? If you bought the deal originally, you can still do spring cleaning and be set up for 4th of July. Any of us that passed on the 7.4 deal either don't have those units left or are still saving them. We still have to buy the offers to get the doubloons anyway.

    It makes zero sense as to why anyone would be upset they're releasing this offer.

    They're different offers with different values. They aren't the same thing.

    Again, you could have bought the offer originally and bought spring cleaning.

    You could have bought spring cleaning and now buy the offers. What's the difference?

    Not only that, you can't get the same amount of resources from spring cleaning as you can from the offer.

    Lol I don’t think I’ve ever seen gw change his mind on anything regardless of how many (ie everybody) people disagreeing with him so I think you maybe underestimating his stubbornness, I see both sides of the argument here, it’s slightly unfair, I’ve been holding off 7.4 till I ground out the 12k units so doesn’t really effect me, but I don’t think it’s to the point where they will bother compensating to appease that slight unfairness

    I took it upon myself not not quote you or acknowledge but you have been thriving the last few days with personal attacks on individuals expressing their opinions. The paragon thread is a disgrace that the mods let you post not a single constructive point just trashing everyone else for having a contrasting opinion and voicing their objections.

    I’m fine with the policy helping more people, but if you’re going to do that you can’t pretend that in doing so you didn’t create a situation in which the result is that you mislead a bunch of people into buying something they otherwise wouldn’t have bought if they had the info.

    I’m happy that this bait and switch may help some of you, but that way of thinking has a very short term benefit imo. Having an open and honest contest in which you can make decisions and purchases with confidence in the reliability of the terms is better for all of us in the long term.

    Also the offer wil always be there it first tomorrow the orgin sale end for the 10k so u could had wait before go all out one 7.4 so I’m really can’t se the bigger picture here

    I kind of get OP's point on the one hand. If you bought units to get the 7.4 offer and bought units again for the spring cleaning, you are worse off than someone who buys units for the spring cleaning and then uses those units to get the extended 7.4 offer. But I don't think Kabam needs to do anything about it. People that bought units for the 7.4 offer got what they paid for. The fact that Kabam decided to extend the timing doesn't change that. Sometimes some people get a better deal. It's amazing how even when Kabam does something pro player like extending the offer people still find a way to complain.

    This wasn't a bait and switch. You can say terrible communication, but calling it a bait and switch is just trying to get people worked up.

    Maybe take off the timer? Might make it a permanent thing at the side by to slowly progress for the Paragon title.
