**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Alliance War Season 34: Loyalty Updates and 40% Revives!

Greetings Summoners!

With the start of Alliance War Season 34, we will be significantly increasing the amount of Loyalty that players can expect to receive from Alliance Wars. We have taken the numbers that we had previously revealed to players as a sample and have further increased the amount of Loyalty for Alliances in Tiers 1-4.

Here are the numbers that you can expect going forward:

Note: There are no changes to Exploration. Those figures are added for ease of reference. There has been no change to other sources of Loyalty, and you can still obtain it from War Victor and Challenger Crystals, Alliance Events, Solo Events, and by Helping your Alliance Mates.

With these changes, we want to make Potions more accessible than they were before Compensation started, but the number of potions given out for compensation was excessive, so we will be cutting back a bit from that number. We are aware that Health Pools have increased and are accounting for those in our new Potion economy numbers as well.

However, we wanted to swing a little further with our changes and took some inspiration from our Community…

40% Health Revives in the Loyalty Store!

We will be adding new Level 1 Alliance War Team Revives that heal your KO’d Champions for 40% of their Total HP to the Loyalty store! These new Percentage Based Alliance War revives will be available for just 1 Loyalty with no Purchase Limits!

This not only makes Revives more accessible, but also contributes 40% of a Champion’s Max Health, reducing the amount of Potions needed to heal a Champion after a KO!

This is still a very experimental change and is subject to some changes in the future as we see how it goes. We may find the healing is too much or too little, or that different tiers should have different amounts healed, among other factors.

In the future, we also plan to exclude Revives from counting towards your Item Limit, but that will not be in place when this first launches.

Lastly, we want to give a huge thank you to DNA3000, whose thread here on the Forums inspired this change!

Insights

With the weekly compensation coming to a close, we think that free Revives will continue to help Players feel less of a burden from deaths and the cost of Consumables and reduce the Potion cost of recovering from a KO in Alliance Wars.

This is not the final change we will be making to Consumables. We’re going to closely monitor how Potions and Revives are used in the coming seasons, and the relationship between their use and Alliance Wars, and look to make more changes in the future.

Season 34 of Alliance Wars starts on May 25th, 2022, and these changes will go into effect then!

Wow, that is a lot more loyalty. Is it enough though?

Now we can buy 3 potions and heal 40k health every war. Then why we still have 15 items to use? Can someone explain it?
Thanks Kabam. It still proofs that you can not do something good. These changes is nothing.

As a 1 BG Alliance War ally leader, looks like the loyalty bump won't be nearly enough to sustain sufficient AW potions for a season, once weekly compensation is gone.

Therefore, AW Season 33 likely our last until more significant changes are made.

Yes! You can still purchase them for Loyalty, but can also choose to use units if you'd like.
    Awesome. Thanks!

can we get the loyalty added to the off season rewards, so we can start building a stash? My loyalty is sub 30K right now because the prices changes went into effect weeks before the changes to the amount available.

Also, the L5 health potions in the compensation are nicely sized... Obviously they would cost more than l3 and l4, but can we get those added to the loyalty store as well? It would help make sure we can do war in 15 items or less without resorting to the afore mentioned strategy above of taking a death, and using a 1 loyalty revive to save on currency.

Alternatively... look for a mechanic similar to Appoc's signature ability, where a champ that isn't used in a fight regens say 10% of health while resting.

That looks awesome. The 40% revive can help if we die by chance but the goal in AW has always been "NOT TO DIE". What matters are the heals. We need to heal our champ quite often and I still doubt if the loyalty will be enough to keep up with the potions . Healing 6* r3 and r4 champs is too costly.

Well, bra-effing-vo. Thank you for listening to the community and putting a program in place that is beneficial to the players. Time will tell how these changes actually play out, but this is a step in the right direction.

You're entire post. It makes no sense.

It was about calculating. You don’t know what the math is ? You don’t know how many items every player can use in war? Come on, you play the game or you just read the forum?
I post was about everyone gets loyalty to buy only 3-4 items. If you can buy only 3-4 items - why you need a count 15 items to use ? Where will you get another 11 items when AW don’t give you enough loyalty to buy items? Use your brain, man, I don’t wanna explain the obvious things.

The loyalty problem won’t be solved with solution like those. Cause we still won’t be able to buy and use class and special boosts, cause we won’t be able even heal our attacking champs with this amount of loyalty. Garbage.

Given what we've seen with the new paragon title benefiting mainly players at the top, I'm glad to see a change that benefits more players in the middle and bottom. That 40% revive will be a big boost for these players, but sadly at the top end this change doesn't help them much but reduce that anger of spending a lot of loyalty to revive a champ after giving up a death. Finally something for us smaller guys to celebrate

Ok so I like this change, let me get this out of the way first. I agree it's a step in the right direction, but it doesn't completely address the problem.

In higher tier wars your alliance is dying maybe 10-15 times a war, so each member is dying once every few wars on average. However, often they'll be healing to full after every fight because you can't risk dying. So you're using many more times than the 60-75k loyalty you get for a win. The L4 potions are 20k and heal 9.5k health right? So you can only use 4 or 5 a war or you're going to be net negative on loyalty assuming you buy nothing else.

The loyalty change is nice, nobody should misunderstand that. But at the moment, a lot of alliances are still going to feel the burn, especially non-spending players who don't subsidise loyalty costs with units. Spenders are fine, they can heal to their hearts content, but if non-spenders can't keep up because healing and boosts costs too much then war is going to become pretty pay to win.

Lastly, I do appreciate how Kabam have said they're going to monitor potion and revive use, so I can see it's not all doom and gloom. I just hope they keep a close eye on that particular issue.

Would it be such a bad thing to implement these loyalty upgrades once this season finishes opposed to the new one starting? It would at least allow some players to build up a decent amount of loyalty in the off season.

    Pipe dream I guess
