Revisiting Gwenmaster - which new champs would now be your MVP?

I’m in the process of wrapping up my Chapter 7 exploration with 7.2. I had a hard time with Gwenmaster on my completion run (much harder then I had with the Kang bros), but that was some time ago and I now have a better roster and hopefully some additional skills.

I know who many of the MVP champs were back when she came out - Prof X etc. The question is - which of the newer champs now available would you have liked to have when taking down Gwenmaster?

I think Herc is going to be great given his intercept facility for example. Who are some others you think would make her a cakewalk?

    I ran the 5 paths for exploration last week, and my 2 MVPs were Prof and Kitty.

    Every run I’d use prof for the first phase, then Kitty for the rest. She is a GREAT option for the fight if you have her awakened

    Conveniently enough, I do!

    Starting to think Prof X, Herc, Kitty, and whatever stragglers from each particular path I have along for the ride. Will look for opportunities for Doom and NF whenever possible.

    I remember using herc, prof, and nick for the bulk of what I needed to do. I didn’t have kitty at the time, but I imagine she crushes of course

    I left this quest for last for act 7 exploration and just finished yesterday. Kitty absolutely crushes it. I used the Emma synergy for the reverse control and she destroys every phase

    Coming back on this thread now that I’ve started working on Gwenmaster.

    Done two additional runs so far. Tried the first one with Prof X again and it was pretty rough. Got out of the first phase after ALOT of tries and still not sure I actually got out of it vs it bugging and moving me to next phase.

    Tried another one today with Kitty/Emma synergy that that went much better. Maybe I just suck at Prof X, but Kitty tore up several of the phases. Even Emma contributed by taking care of the Doom phase despite only being an R3 5*.

    Going to stick with that approach for my final three runs. Need a few days to recover some units/rebuild my stash though given the yesterday’s rough run.
