**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.

There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.
Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

The good, I think that 6*s will be relevant for a long time with the addition of ascension. Assuming 7*s launch where a rank 1 level 25 6* is equivalent to a 6* rank 4. (The same way that a 6* Rank 1 level 25 is equivalent to a 5* rank 4) . Then when you consider ascension, which adds an extra rank on your 6* champion. This means we have the following
6* Rank 4 = 7* Rank 1 = 6* rank 3 ascended
6* Rank 5 = 7* Rank 2 = 6* Rank 4 ascended
6* Rank 5 ascended = 7* rank 3
And I mean, when you consider how many Rank 4 6*s you have right now, and how many you'd need to stop using your 6* rank 3s - this means that our 6* rank 5s that we ascend are pretty easily going to keep up with our 7* Rank 4s which are essentially 1 rank above. So it's only when 7* rank 5s come out that 6*s are going to be anywhere near obsolete. And we don't even have 6* Rank 5s out yet, and 6*s were added 3 and a half years ago.
This means, assuming the same pattern for 7*s we have a good 3 years before our 6*s stop being relevant. This is a good part of the announcement, and in my view respects any investment in 6*s.
Relics adding abilities to champions seems cool, things like increased DOT, duration etc, are good ideas where stat boosts and effect boosts can be used in interesting ways for our favourite champions.
Now the bad and the ugly, I still think 7*s are here too soon. I thought this with 6*s being added before we could get 5* rank 5s, and I still think it now that 7*s are being added the same time as 6* rank 5s are only a glint in a whales eye. I would have liked to see another 6-9 months before we had this announcement for 7*s.
I also don't like that relics seem to be built around strikers, it may be just me personally, but I didn't enjoy strikers too much. I'll hold my judgement until I see it in action, but I'm not excited about them right now. I also don't like too much that they contribute to prestige but ah well, that's pretty stale at the moment.
I am worried about how ascension will be done, if it becomes harder to ascend a champion than get a 7*, this could be useless, as why invest the effort into ascending when you could just focus on 7*s. I hope it's not monetised too heavily, or it will seem like "Hey, we really want your 6*s to be useful... as long as you pay". They can be monetised, but easily accessible to obtain by playing.
This sounds horrible... So much people of the player base are still working extremely hard and put lots of time & effort on building/collecting their 6 star rooster. And still R5 six star champions are not even in the game.
Reminds me to the introduction of 6 stars back in 2017...
Also Kabum can't even handle a balanced cheater free new Battlegrounds game mode with fair and accessible rewards or simple bug fixes to patch visual effect issues or the practice function.
There are lots of things to fix before bringing 7 star champs to the game.
I’m not a whale, I think in the last two years I’ve spent a total of around £50 at the most, I am however, deep in the endgame and my roster reflects that. I have ~160 6* and around 200 5*. As a result I’ve got most of the good 6* in the game, and most of those are R2+, with many R3. This means that I’m chasing new releases and the odd awakening here and there; 6* are pretty boring to open now and I wouldn’t mind the excitement of a 7* opening.
The concern that I’d have is my 6* become instantly irrelevant, or close to inside 6 months or so. The same goes for relics, especially if they have prestige implications - there is a real risk that MCoC goes from teetering on the tightrope of P2W to falling into an abyss that can’t be climbed out of.
I don’t want it.
But what about the previous roadmap items such as reworking masteries, the "buff program" and other various items that the community was ACTUALLY EXCITED for and WANTED?
Also, are relics going to be useable in all game modes like AW?
Ascension needs to be done perfectly to be good and 7 stars will rely on ascension.
If we can grow our 7 star rosters while keeping 6 stars extremely relevant with ascension it would work out great. I think what they're aiming for is that our 7 star rosters should be as built as our 6 star rosters are now by the time 7 stars actually overpower them but again that completely relies on ascension not just succeeding but exceeding all expectation.
And with all these ways to increase champ power content difficulty is going to need a major tune-up

And by new levels of content I don’t mean 2 years after the intro of 7 stars…I mean like these things need to drop simultaneously
If I read it correctly I can bump my 6’s to potentially 7 * level? If that’s the case why would I chase both?
At least initially. Yeah sure maybe 2 years down the road I’ll work on mats and iso collection for pumping up 7’s. But for me as a casual player who is never ever going to increase the time in game now, I am not about to divide my efforts for goals that are almost the same thing. If an ascended 6 will be the same as 7 rank 2 I don’t see any real benefit.
but I'd honestly prefer the "wish crystals" delivered first before this. Collecting my most wanted champs to add to my roster.
Introduction of 6 stars was exciting for me, but the sound of doing it all again for 7* doesnt.
On top of all on-going issues, rewards and crystal progressions still lagging. This just doesnt sound exciting.
I dont want to say this lightly, but Id seriously consider retiring my account
