How do you grind arena for units?

I've seen videos of people saying that you should use 4*s to grind units as it's the most efficient. I have however personally always just used my 6*s for grinding units as it feels faster due to the 4* AI being so passive.

So the question is, what star rarity do you use to grind units in the arenas?

    If I'm truly desperate, I usually grind at whichever arena gives the most units for the least work.

    In Featured, I do Rounds 1-7 with 5*, 8-9 with 6*, then 10-15 with 5*. After that, 6* the rest of the way to top milestone.

    In Basic, all 5* until the end if I run out and only have a few more rounds to top milestone, then I’ll pull out the 6* to finish it off.

    2/3/4* lower arena (using max 4*) may give you more units per fight.
    But of course not as much in rank reward (or new champs along the way in milestones).

    At a bare minimum, the 1st couple milestones in lower arena, that is hit with very minimal time spent.
    As well as first couple milestones that actually give the units in the rotating CAT arenas (even if you don’t do them past that for the Cats themselves).

    I only hit the first few milestones so this feels the fastest. I hardly ever actually grind but when I do it’s 5/6*

    Milestones in the 5* and 6*. If I get really bored and I have a ton of boosts I’ll mix in some 4* arena as well.

    My six star roster's small, so it's mostly 5 star in character arena and then spending ~two hours in 4 star arena every few days to hit the 600,000 threshold there.

    I think the basic arena might be the best. I usually run the featured anyway using only R2-R4 6*s after the streak is established. Often only R3 & R4

    I usually do the first handful of summoner trials with my 4 stars, sometimes more. I usually do less than 2 million points or wherever punisher is.

    Then if I’m shooting for units I’ll do the basic and hit all milestones with my 6 stars.

    If I’m really grinding, I’ll jump into the featured and get a few milestones after doing the basic 6 star.

    Arena is an important source of units. If you grind actively you can get 1000+ units per week. Even you grind causally 500 units per week is achievable. At least build some buffers of arena crystal too, such that you can pull them for gold/unit/energy refill in case of need.

    For units 4* star arena and i also use 3* with x3 boost.
    1-2 rounds 10 milestones 130 units (+ battlechips)

    Feature arena - 6* only, ~ 54 rounds, all milestones = 135 units
    Bssic arena - 5* only, ~ 41 rounds, all milestones= 135 units
    Trials - 4* only, ~ 40 rounds, 1.5mil = 130 units.

    In the basic arena you can lower the number of rounds by using 6* r3+. In Trials arena you can use 3* with 3x arena boosts. You can 1-time use arena boosts in the other arenas too.

    All in all, over 3 days, it's about 4 hours of playing for 400 units. Additionally, you should also easily get the 25 unit milestone in the arena and hero use solo events. 450 units. You can also do 1 round in the rotating catalysts arenas to get the 10 unit milestone.
    Approx 470 units/3days, playing a bit over an hour a day. Thats your morning dump and an episode of your favorite tv show in the evening.

    Only 6* in the Featured one. Normally, in the last 2-3 weeks of each month, after I'm done with exploration of Cav & Uncollected EQ. In parallel, I also farm revives and health pots.
