I’m a little embarrassed to ask this because I should know. But I can admit my own ignorance so: does being unstoppable reduce incoming hit damage? Feels like it does but I can’t find that in any description of the effect.

    It doesn't. Although some champions have additional abilities while being unstoppable, and often they are of the likes of reducing damage or increased armor rating or so
