This time around i actually like this meta. Creating more proper strategy is key to win now. Tho my deck is average for this meta but i am enjoying far as i have to think out of box now. Imagine trapping your oppenent against Dragon man without nullifier.I literally hoped that if i mess up , my opponent will mess up more due to defender placement đđđđ not Everytime you can't kill defender in 20 sec. Sometimes you have to take L deliberately In one of the rounds and trap the opponent. If that damage is inevitable for you so with opponent, use it your advantage.
So I think its fair to say that the response to this weeks battlegrounds meta is mixed at best. but honestly, I kinda like it. It's not super restrictive and there are plenty of good attackers available. In the past we've had weeks where the nodes don't really matter and its just a nuke contest. Thats not good. But for this week where yes, it is restrictive, there are also plenty of counters. One of the big things about this gamemode is that you are supposed to reshuffle & constantly edit your deck to match the new metas. Without that core idea, everyone would just use the same / very similar decks and never make changes. Whats the point in that? Part of the fun (for me at least) is figuring out who does and doesn't work each week.Just to put it out there, this isn't coming from someone with a massive whale account. I have 8 r3 champs & 16 r2, far from the strongest account and my deck is mostly 5*.
You can try to reason with them all u want but they will only come up with 2 countersâŚitâs too restrictive and I donât wanna rank up a champ for this meta who would be useless elsewhere but other than og Thor(who needs a lot of investment) none of the top options are champs that u wouldnât wanna invest in And we can't reason with you as you just say "get good" or "build your roster" ...2 sides to each coin lad đ So building ur roster only means to rankup hercs and torches and use them everywhereâŚgotcha Herc and Torch are terrible for this meta đ¤Ł

I dont think making 5 stars relevant when 7 stars are about to go out its the best idea
Again, this is a competitive mode. If you want to compete, you pretty much have to go all in.If you want to "live your life" or play a "fun" mode, go do arenas, EQ, SQ, Story and incursions. You just described BGs in a nutshell.

So lemme get this straightâŚu ranked up champs without looking at bg nodes which were announced a few weeks back and now complain that ur new champs arenât good for the node??

Just got back from vacay and did my first match, won 2-0. Aarkus defeated Warlock and SW (barely) defeated Mephisto, and the other player could not kill Sassy with Kingpin or Nimrod with Venom. Knowledge is important nimrod cannot be armor broken so need to bring a mystic or power burn immune. People need to bring neutralize champs for some fights.

Wrong.
The biggest issue I have with your argument is it isn't a week long thing. Victory track has these nodes ALL season. In my honest opinion, Victory track should be a fun gamemode and the competitiveness of it should be the gladiator circuit. This current meta makes it not fun unless you have a very diverse roster of champions ranked. Keep in mind that champions that place armor breaks on hits, like medusa, have to take 1 hit of power burn damage to remove the armor up. Champions with neutralize have to have 100% uptime on that neutralize since chitin charges do not reset to 0 due to neutralize. Those with fate seal suffer the same as those with neutralize. The chitin charge node is the real issue this meta, there is 0 way to counter it with anyone. A recommendation I saw and really liked was to have chitin charges be reset to 0 on a heavy attack. This'll make it more possible for any champion to be useful, while also increasing the value of defenders who naturally have armor ups.
Who decided that this was going to be fun for BG ?I wanted BattleGrounds to come back so I could have some fun with all my new rank ups I've been working during this holiday break. It was a surprise to find myself with the worst BG season ever... Nodes are meant to make you find new ways to overcome them and win... BUT these nodes are meant to focus more on specific rosters than adapting your play style around them. You can build most of your decks to counter some of these nodes but then find yourself that the 7x champions you choose(Randomly) aren't the best and then seeing your opponent get the perfect 7x champs. I was so excited for this BG season but I think I will save my elder marks and skip this season...Good luck to all of those that wanted to just have some fun on BattleGrounds !

GC should be harder as that's where the competition really starts. I wouldn't even say VT is competitive, not when you consider there is no end of season rewards for VT

In any given battlegrounds meta, you can attribute success to different factors. The broadest categories are skill, roster depth, deck building, drafting (choosing your 7 and deploying them during the match), and luck (who you draw as an opponent and what cards you pull). I feel like this meta gives an outsized piece of the pie to roster depth because the nodes are so powerful that skill canât overcome them. When a meta is so restrictive that Iâve leaving 6-star r4 champs out of my deck for max 5-stars, something seems off. Also, this is a meta where the zero-sum nature of medals feels even more discouraging than usual. Imagine the following slightly different scenario - two medals for a win, minus one for a loss. Any level that takes two medals now takes three. Three medal levels take five. Five medal levels now take seven. âWin loss winâ would be enough to move past a bronze level. Winning 3/4 or 4/6 gets you through other levels before a finale thatâs still tough. Itâs disheartening when you get dropped in a match you know youâre gonna lose, because it feels like you lose that match AND the win before it that you worked hard to grind out.
