Hello again Summoners,We've had conversations about this recently, so we can echo the same sentiments.Firstly, Relics were introduced to the game with the express purpose of being lower impact. If they were a must-have right out the gate and completely changed the game, the community would riot. We also didn't want anyone to feel like the roster they've developed was dwarfed in relation to this new addition. The relic rewards tied to Solo Objectives have been added to each month's side quests. They're not replacing anything you would have otherwise received; everything is redistributed. This, again, is so that if you don't want them, you don't have to do the content.I know we've discussed recently this shift, where MCOC is growing into a game where you cannot feasibly do everything each month; this further emphasizes this. I know it causes discomfort for some but, again, you are not losing anything by relics being added to the game. If you do not want relics, you don't have to chase, unlock or use relics. If you do like relics, they will continue to grow, change and evolve their place in the contest.
The problem that summoners have is basically that we are getting ONLY relic rewards out of Objectives, since you are saying that the rewards we would be getting are redistributed, 2 questions are raising:1. Where are those being redistributed?If your answer is that they are being redistributed into the SQ or EQ themselves then the second question will rise:2.In which proportion are being redistributed?Because if we think about what rewards are going into the quest itself than in the objective, we can think about ISO, we can think about gold, we can think about shards; if those are the rewards that got redistributed, that means by consecuence that the rewards earned by the quests themselves are LESS than they were before, or they would be less in case of the new level of difficulty since this last one went out after relics.

The answer to your question is: the game has a reward budget. The rewards within EQ, SQ, special events, the calendar, the objectives the solo events, everything, comes from a global reward budget. Whether relics exist or not, we would, overall, be getting the same rewards per month across all of the released content averaged over longer time scales. It might be shifted from one place to another, or sometimes from one month to another, but rewards are not designed per content piece. The devs do not decide that these objectives would have gotten this reward, but we had to remove them to make space for relics, and those rewards are just gone. Nor do they say well those rewards are displaced, so we need to sprinkle some of those rewards elsewhere just because. In the counterfactual timeline where Relics didn't exist, we'd still be getting the same stuff, because overall the same pool of rewards are being allocated to the same bunch of content.You're not necessarily going to be able to track this reward from this piece of content to that reward in that piece of content. But because the game rewards must follow certain economic constraints, they have to add up in the end. Just like if you were living under a real monetary budget, you wouldn't necessarily be able to say if you go to the movies on Saturday, that comes at the expense of not eating lunch on Sunday. But the amount you spend ultimately has to fit into your budget somehow. You know you spent less elsewhere, but you can't necessarily point to one specific place this happened.
I like relics.
Nobody wants relics. Nobody wants to see them. Why are kabam so hell bent on adding relics rewards and content every month? Nobody is interested in them. Who are you wasting time developing these for and doing calculations on the relic shards and embers economy for. Its just so weird to see how you guys really really want people to get used and relics and I bet the vast majority are just ignoring them. The solo objectives are dogwater whenever relics are involved. How many people entirely skip them? Jesus Christ kabam, read the room
