I just dashed into Miles and that mf just retaliated with a sp2 right to my face. I was not made aware of any changes to the AI that would make it so this and it has never happened before.

just like the sentinel, we have to learn how to adapt. in the damn near future, kabam might even tweak the AI even further and make them be able to select prefight, etc etc.LMAO

Not the same person obviously but what I am saying is "frame-perfect specials at the exact moment of getting hit should not be possible, much less function as a get-out-of-jail-free card for the opponents" and this is the way those kinds of situations play out. Randomly running into a special happens from time to time, nothing wrong with that.

On a side note anybody noticed that AI started to wait out protections and indestructibles recently or is it me getting paranoid?

I have more trouble with the fact that the ai can light intercept better than I can lol. But they have been special intercepting for awhile. They also like to turtle up in fights where you have to hit them on a timer and such.

Yeah they've been doing this for awhile...even more annoying is when your hitting they're block trying to push them to two bars of power, they will special intercept you if they feel so inclined

The turtling is my biggest aggravation right now. Light intercepts are also frustrating. I feel like their dash in speed is also much faster when I'm waiting for them to do so.

Some champs like miles, jane foster, venompool etc usually throw their sp2's the moment they get them, guess they are designed to behave like this.

AI has been updated. I've fought AI that not only wait out ghosts phase but throw not 1 but 2 light attacks before the dash in which again runs out her phase

Kabam is really toying with us ...they are not allowing us to play with real players...only 2 out of 10 are real players rest I think may be bots

AI intercepting with specials isn't one.

It's tricky to explain but I do think the AI's ability to react has changed over the years.
I think veterans would agree that we've all learnt to bait specials, at least initially, by getting closer to the opponent and hitting their block.
I don't think back then it was common for the AI to throw a special as you were about to make contact. Currently, I have had plenty of times where my medium is actually mid animation and I get hit in the face.
As I said in some other thread, being extremely weary of the opponent even having a bar of power because they can clip you at will makes for very dull gameplay.

You used to be fairly safe if the defender was locked in holding block.
That isn’t the case anymore.
Seems to be happening more and more often the defender won’t be baited into throwing a special by dashing in/out and leaving yourself open.
Go to block hit and get whacked with a special intercept.

I’ve also noticed defenders seem less willing to throw their special on nodes with enhanced power gain.

Especially in battlegrounds. I used to hit their block a couple of times if normal baiting didn't work or even just for some spacing and now I'm getting reparried on the 2nd or 3rd hit on the block

If you are fighting a defender that has mastery's like in BG's, War and Arena, it should be possible. A.I should have all the same abilities as us players. Non-player defenders that don't have mastery's, can't dex. They can however dash backwards but it's not considered dex'ing.

One of the smartest AI move I've seen these days is the double light whiffs that the AI does after u have an infuriate on them
U are waiting for them to dash in & they just throw 2 lights in the air, & the 2nd one connects more often than not

For about 7 years of MCOC's existence, AI would only use mediums when at a distance & lights when they were close enough to get a connection....this is what made intercepts a lot safer in those days
Then they started doing light intercepts
And now they just randomly keep throwing lights in the air when we try to dash in

How are you guys just getting AI like this now? I've been special intercepted, had AI wait out prompts, hold specials until power sting runs out, been backdraft intercepted, etc for years. Not saying it has been common but it has definitely been possible.

The worst of all for me, is when AI completely ignores my 1st hit of a heavy and throws his special. ANd now this is happening to specials that don't have separated moves, like, for instance, I had in the morning Colossus interrupting Ghost Rider's heavy with his sp1.

This one may actually be a bug. I have my champs doing that from time to time, especially in EoP, after Thanos' animation before phase changing, I don't even have my fingers on the screen and my champ is hitting the air.

I took CGR into a fight against Ultron today and I kid you not, Right as I was about to launch SP2, the screen froze and my controls went dead. Ultron stopped fighting stood straight up and said “You can’t do that, Dave.”
