lvl 99 signature crystal

Hi People

I have a general question: is a maxed signature crystal awarded when the champion reaches lvl 99 or does the champ needs to be lvl 99?
e.g. I have a 4 star champ with lvl 80 -> will I get a signature crystel after the next or the second next dupe?

You have to reach lvl 99 then dupe the champ again to get the crystal hope this helps

Needs to be at 99 before duplicate. I missed one as I thought it was sufficient to reach 99.

@Mrgreen, for 4 star champ,
if you are @lv99, you get a dup, it grants you a Signature Crystal
if you are @lv98, you get a dup, it is a waste bcos you only gain 1 more lv, and no crystal
if you are @ lv80, you get a dup, you gain 19 more lv, and no crystal
if you are @ lv79, you get a dup, you gain 20 more lv, and no crystal

similarly, for 3 star champ,
if you are @ lv99, you get a dup, it grants you a Signature Crystal
if you are @ lv98, you get a dup, it is a waste bcos you only gain 1 more lv, and no crystal
if you are @ lv92, you get a dup, you gain 7 more lv, and no crystal
if you are @ lv91, you get a dup, you gain 8 more lv, and no crystal

All in all, whenever you use you +1, +2 or +5 signature stone to level up, use WISELY, especially on 4 star champ
