BG Season 6 Matchmaking

You're obviously aware that Season 5 matchmaking has been a hot button issue, cause some of the mods have commented on the numerous threads that have dominated the forums for the past month.

Why then, with your recent post regarding Season 6, 7, and 8 (thank you by the way...the forward look is a nice touch), did you completely ignore the matchmaking topic?

Even if it's to say you aren't changing the algorithm for Season 6, I think it would be beneficial to know, cause much like people want to know about seasons in advance to base rank up decisions, some of us want to know about matchmaking for a similar reason....cause we aren't going to invest in the champs if there's no change to the matchmaking.

Appreciate anything you're willing to share on the topic.

All these threads and posts about BGs seem to be ignored at the end.
Still no changes at VT, whether that is matchmaking, or (even better) victory tokens points or the whole structure of it.
Disappointing, considering how many people dislike the current state of the mode 🙁

I can see the sarcasm there, but we are already two days off season.
Also implementing some of the ideas that were proposed doesn't require an overhaul.
A "we are working on changes soon" would help.
This situation is already going for 1.5 season.
But i guess it will take around 3 seasons for changes, like happened at AW.

I agree as well, the title is misleading too because while it it changes to BG, it can lead people to think it’s actual changes to the mode and maybe interactions or bug fixes, not just node changes.

Simple, they don't care about the playerbase in the first place. They'll reply to the feedback every once in a while to make people think they care but they don't and as long as we have people spending thousands of dollars on the game they'll keep doing it and getting away with it lol just look at what happened yesterday with the GC rewards. Not a single ban in what top 3000? There were screenshots of some of these idiots doing absolutely ridiculous fights like sig 200 Domino with Kingpin and Peni with AA finishing with 95% health, and these people still weren't banned when it is blatantly obvious?
They don't care, and if you point out the fact that they don't care they'll delete whatever you posted and give you a warning, there's no point in even complaining about issues in these forums anymore.

I want their comment on matchmaking system before next season begins and say how they are going to go with it. I hope they give a proper reply. Coz I at this point am not even considering BG objectives worth the frustration that it gives.

On top of that they haven't said anything about zero point bug compensation for last season or fixing it before next season starts. I feel they should acknowledge how this makes majority of the player base feel about participating in BGs.

They're not likely going to comment on the specific process. They've already indicated that it's always changing, and that changes are coming in the future.

They also stated that they've done thousands upon thousands of bans in BG to include numerous at end of season, however, videos and spreadsheets have debunked this so it's best to not blindly believe everything they tell you.

Not going to say conspiracy at all, but will say lack of transparency/inability to properly handle severe issues plaguing BG.

Spreadsheets and Leaderboards are not evidence of any actions they take. People want a public hanging. It's not going to happen.

If you’ve been following, his point isn’t really the stuff of conspiracy. Players made screen shots of the BG leaderboard and their respective rankings just before the BG season ended.

A few days later they received their official rankings. And found there was zero change from just before the season end and the final rankings. That’s not conjecture, as far as I can tell—that’s actual data that indicates no changes to the top several thousand rankings once the season ended.

You can make of that what you will. But it’s way more than suggestive of little to no disciplinary action post BG season 5.

That's conjecture. All we know is they didn't readjust the Rewards and the Leaderboard after. If people are under the impression they're lying about taking action, I have a car I could sell them.

It's not a conspiracy. Did you check who got top 3 spot? Some dude with less than 2M rating I believe.
There were literally screenshots of these donkeys doing sig 200 Dominos with Kingpin at max health and they still aren't banned why are you always defending Kabam? Takes 5 minutes to watch one of these videos which contain a lot of proof to see they didn't do their job properly this season.

This comes up EVERY Season. I'm not feeding into the assumptions and accusations. People are either going to believe them when they say they take action, or they're not.

Either way Kabam have shafted the player base. They’ve either:

A. Claimed they’ve banned modders after the season but lied about it (based on no one’s position improving post season)

Or

B. Banned modders but not given honest players their rightful rewards.

I’m at a loss how you can defend their position. And back to the main point of this post - matchmaking.

I know you’re aware how big a discussion this is for the player base, based on the sheer volume of comments you’ve made on various threads.

For them to not even provide a single comment on this in their latest post is shambolic.

What the hell am I defending? I'm looking at it logically without assuming anything. I never said anything was right or wrong, or justified. I'm just not jumping to conclusions. Honestly, these Witch Hunts are not helping anything.

Stop. That’s strawmanning, and you really should quit ascribing the worst motives (bitterness, entitlement, envy, witch hunts just to name a few) to forums members who disagree with you. Asking questions about corrections after season end doesn’t rise to the level of accusations of lying.

There was a rank order prior to season end. That rank order remained the same in final rankings. If people who ranked in the top few thousand were penalized for violating ToS after season end, it is a perfectly legitimate question to ask why final rankings remained the same.

Perhaps there’s a different type of penalty rationale (although I can’t think of one) that would allow players to retain their rank but lose rewards and/or face a ban. If so, the team should come forth and fill in the gaps.

It's a real shame the thread got greatly derailed when it was just about matchmaking.

I do hope kabam changes their algorithm for matchmaking in VT because that was a mess for many to deal with last season on top of the bugs many experienced.
