Signature Ability:
☆ Inner Beast
Healing Factor has 8% chance to gain an additional Regeneration Buff, restoring up to X health based on current power levels over 5 seconds.
At the end of the fight, Wolverine adds X% of his Feral Rage Charge into his Persistent Rage Charge.
Applied Bleed or Rupture Debuffs to opponent while Berserk is active lasts 2 seconds longer. Additionally, Wolverine gains Pierce Passive, increasing Block Penetration and Armor Penetration by X while Berserk is Active.
Abilities:
☆ Healing Factor
-When attacking or being attacked, Wolverine has X% chance to gain Regeneration Buff, regenerating himself for X% for 4 seconds.
-Bleed Debuffs applied to Wolverine has -80% duration.
-When Wolverine has damaging Debuffs applied on him, his Regeneration Buff becomes Passive.
☆ Vibranium Claws
-Wolverine has X% chance to trigger Bleed Debuff on Critical Hits for 4 seconds. If the opponent is a Robot or Immune to Bleed, inflict Rupture instead.
-If the opponent is Immune to Bleed, Wolverine gains X Critical Damage Rating.
-If Wolverine made 3 Critical Hits in 1 combo, Inflict Eviscerated for 6 seconds. Inflicts Armor Shattered for 6 seconds on Robot opponents instead.
☆Eviscerated Champions have:
• Loses X Health per second.
• -X% Offensive and Defensive Ability Accuracy
• Stacks 3 times.
☆Feral Rage
-When landing a Critical Hit on opponent, gain +1 Feral Rage Charge. +2 Charges when opponent lands Critical Hits.
-When reaching 30 Feral Rage Charges, enter Berserk mode.
☆Berserk
-Upon reaching 30 Feral Rage Charges, Wolverine enters Berserk mode for 12 seconds, granting him Fury, Cruelty and Precision Passive. Cannot gain Feral Rage Charges while Berserk is active.
-Wolverine's first Medium attack become 2 hits and his second Medium Attack becomes 3 hits.
-When opponent Evades Wolverine's attack, Wolverine gains Unstoppable Passive for .5 second.
-When opponent Purifies a Debuff, gain stacking Passive Prowess until Berserk's Duration.
- Plus 10% Offensive Power Rate.
-If opponent Blocked the first attack from Wolverine, the second light attack will be Unblockable.
-Increased chance to inflict Bleed or Rupture Debuffs.
-Stun Debuffs has -50% Duration.
☆Heavy Attacks
Opponents have -20% Power Rate during this attack.
•While Berserk is Active, Wolverine's Heavy Attack becomes Pounce(Can hit opponents in far distance)
•While Berserk is active, Heavy Charging for .5 seconds will make Wolverine attack for 10-Slash combo. When fighting against Small and Medium Champions, gain Unstoppable Passive while charging until the attack ends.
☆Special Attacks
•While Berserk is active, all attacks are Critical and Unblockable.
☆Special Attack 1
- Inlflict Eviscerated for 6 seconds. If fighting against Robots, inflict Armor Shattered for 10 seconds instead.
-Adds 3 Feral Rage Charges.(Does not add charges while Berserk is active)
•While Berserk is active, this attack changes into 3 slash combo, inflicting 3 Eviscerated Debuffs for 6 seconds. When fighting Robots, inflict Armor Shattered for 20 seconds instead.
☆Special Attack 2
- The First and Last hit of this attack is guaranteed Critical. Also deals more damage for X% missing HP the opponent has. Adds 4 Feral Rage Charges(Does not add charges while Berserk is active)
•While Berserk is active, cancelling the Heavy 10 Slash combo into SP2 has increased X Damage on each Bleed/Rupture and Evsicerated Debuff on opponent. Opponent's Combat Power Rate during this attack has -60%. If the opponent has Armor Shattered, this attack resets the duration.
☆Special Attack 3
- Inflicts 4 Bleed Debuffs for 6 seconds.
-Adds 5 Feral Rage Charges(Does not add charges while Berserk is active)
-If Berserk is active, add 3 Eviscerate stacks for 6 seconds.

No, I'm talking about the consistent wolverine.
The reliable wolverine.
The Wolverine that doesn't require special combos to do his job.
I don't have to throw a special the entire fight and I will have extremely potent, unlimited regen, so I'll be able to tank hit after hit after hit and keep coming back.
That is something that no one else has in the game and is incredibly unique and worth protecting.
P.S. and that's without the Apocalypse synergy. Build the right team around him and he's a monster.
You might like your idea better but that doesn't make it objectively a good one.
I would like to see a sick Wolverine in the game that isn't a trophy champion. I want a Wolverine that can hold his own in Battlegrounds. I get that some might not want the current Wolverine to be touched - fair enough - but in that case, just pretend that this is a suggestion for a new Wolverine champion and go on your way.
A couple of thoughts regarding the buff suggestion itself:
* I like the ideas for his heavy attack while Berserk. Both giving it extra reach and more attacks sounds like fun.
* I think it would be more thematically accurate if Wolverine gains that unstoppable passive against Large and XL champions rather than Small and Medium. After all, his biggest rivalry/most prominent battles have been with Sabretooth (Large) and Hulk (XL).
The problem is everyone's trying to reinvent the Wheel by saying let's make it a passive heal or let's make it a burst that happens because of a special ability or this and that and it's not necessary to mess with the Regeneration when it's such an important part of his kit.
As for all the other bells and whistles, he's Wolverine. He doesn't need to be complicated with his mechanics, he could just be a straight brawler, who can tank some hits, come back and do a little slicy dicey.
And I don't even use Wolverine with apocalypse as a Horseman so that part of the argument never meant anything to me.
Wolverine: inflict Rupture and Critical Rupture instead of Bleed and Critical Bleed when fighting Bleed Immune Champions.
Unique Synergy: does not stack with duplicate synergies
* this could be restricted to robots if too OP against all bleed immune

So replace Hawkeye with Wolverine

I agree with your suggestion that Wolverine needs to be reworked. For a character who has a reputation for being a lone wolf, Wolverine is a heavily synergy-dependent champion in The Contest. Just saying make him a Horseman isn't helpful in the current Meta of the game. While James Howlett has been a member of Marvel's most prestigious superhero teams (Avengers, Fantastic Four, X- Men) he needs to be a combatant who can hold his own during a one-on-one matchup. After being released in 2014 he has fallen by the wayside as being a relevant addition to an Alliance War roster or a Battle Grounds Champion Deck. Therefore, there should definitely be a rework to Wolverine similar to what Iron Man received in his re-release in September 2023. Like Iron Man, the original special attacks in Wolverine's kit are easily avoided and pose no real threat to even a beginner Summoner.
Although I like your build, I would disagree with the inclusion of the traits Feral and Berserk to the X-Men version of Wolverine. There is a clear differentiation between the Weapon X variant of Wolverine and the one who teaches students as Xavier's school. Weapon X is the version who is suppose to be wild and feral while the yellow and blue version is one who is supposed to be a more civilized. I think that is what Kabam and other iterations have tried to illustrate with the character's development and should be incorporated into that version of the character.
I would leave his current kit as it is untouched to keep players like Shadowstrike happy with the following suggested changes:
Adamantium Skeleton - Always Active
Wolverine's adamantium skeleton makes him immune to all Armor Break and Armor Shattered effects.
Adamantium Claws - Always Active
The hardness of Wolverine's adamantium claws can penetrate most natural materials. Critical Hits have an 80% chance to inflict an Armor Break Debuff, reducing Armor Rating by # for X seconds.
If Wolverine's opponent is immune to Bleed, they suffer a Rupture Buff dealing Physical Damage for the same amount of damage and duration as the Bleed effect.
All of Wolverine's claw attacks can be inflicted through Block.
I'm The Best There Is At What I Do - Passive
When Wolverine is at 100% Health he gains a passive Fury Buff increasing his Attack Rating by # for X seconds every second (or X seconds) a Regeneration Buff is active. Fury Buffs are Refreshed each time a Regeneration Buff is converted this way. Max Stack: 10
When Wolverine reaches a Max Stack of 10 Fury Buffs, each refreshed Fury Buff becomes permanent for the rest of the fight.
If Heal Block is placed on Wolverine he gains passive Fury Buffs in the same way as if his Regeneration Buff was active.
But What I Do Best Isn't Very Nice - Passive
When Wolverine is at 100% Power his Critical Penetration permanently increases by a percentage equal to the amount of excess Power Gained for the rest of the fight.
Once Wolverine's Critical Penetration reaches 100% all of his Special Attacks are Unblockable for the remainder of the fight.
If Special Lock is placed on Wolverine his Critical Penetration increases at the same rate as if Wolverine were gaining Power.
Rend - Passive
When Wolverine triggers Bleed on an opponent who is already inflicted with an active Armor Break effect, both debuffs are converted to a Rend Debuff for 10 seconds.
Rend does # Direct Damage for X seconds and prevents the opponent from gaining Armor Up, Evasion, Unblockable and Unstoppable Buffs.
If anyone from Kabam reads this, if Viper (Madama Hydra) is selected as the Summoner's Choice for 2024, releasing a reworked Wolverine alongside her would be a great month for The Contest given her history with him and the X-Men.
