Yeah yeah and Kabam did the best they could and you never derail posts that have a negative tone towards Kabam... Until they come with an official answer, stop pretending you have an answer... Specially like "i suspect to let the BG season end"... They are ToS violators they didn't even deserve BG rewards after exploiting...
Well it makes sense when you consider the alternative would be an extended mess of calculating to the last Shard and individually adjusting Accounts. I mean, people can have whatever reactions they want to it. I'm just saying I understand why.
I understand as well but I don’t agree. This is what happens when they waited to lock accounts
Support is the last place I'd trust for accurate information in situations like this.
Well, they've been ignoring this issue on the forums for a whole week now so what else can anyone really do? My thread was at the top of all the discussions for nearly nine whole days, more than 10k people saw it and not a single Kabam forum member replied.
Not replying to a thread isn't ignoring. If they don't comment on topics like this, it's because there isn't anything they have to share.
And that's pure assuming of your part, they can very well be ignoring us and you be like ''no guys, they're not ignoring us, trust me'' You don't speak for them so yeah, they might be ignoring this thread...no one knows for sure But you're wrong saying that they don't have anything to say, they can literally say anything....they can say that the team will not be removing the 7* because of how delicate and complicated this process would be, they can say that the team is still working on it....something to put a closure on it, sometimes a simple ''guys we're looking into this'' is enough cause when a thread of a complicated subject like this one gets the silent treatment, makes us feel like we don't have a voice here or that there's nothing to be done and the problem will persist
GW has a knack for turning anything into an argument by attempting to rationalize an opposing opinion to the group. It keeps threads alive and on the front page though so I appreciate it.
The reason many of us are paying attention to this is the disconnect between what was said when this was discovered, past practice for these situations, and what was done here. It’s caused a lot of confusion about how Kabam will be handling bugs like this in the future.
I can’t find the thread now but in the big Mythic Crystal Bug thread I’m fairly sure Miike said it would be bad for the people that ranked up champs they got from the bug. He said no bans but said something alone the lines of it being bad or worse if you ranked up the champs. Now we’ve learned it did not turn out bad at all but actually very good for some.
They got to keep extra 7* champs, traded rankup materials for generic gems, got to compete in half the battleground season with inflated rosters, and still get BG season rewards. That’s not a bad trade for missing a day from the game.
Kabam seems to be back today so maybe there’s hope we’ll hear something about this. Last update we had was that support is telling folks they get to keep the 7*s they still have and they will still get BG season rewards at some point.

They just closed my thread, doubt they're going to tell us anything I think their stance has been made very clear with all this silence.

I submitted another ticket about my missing BG rewards and they said they are finalizing rewards but ghosted name when I said they’ve been finalizing rewards for over a week
I’m gonna go ahead and comment on this thread too. The fact that the other thread was closed without any response was really cowardly imo. I think there were some valid points that deserved a response. Even if that response simply would have been ”we let things go too far before we took action”
Kabam s actual response to this situation and especially their inability to make it right at the end, was the new TOS. It s like they say, what happened happened, get over it, we can't do better, but from now on whoever exploits any bug, big or small, may get banned for life. Not a satisfactory "response" imo.

While there is blame on the summoners like me that exploited the bug, the primary blame is on Kabam. You’d think they would check the rewards before releasing them and then, when they figure out what happened immediately issue an emergency maintenance.

The attitude that players can do whatever they want and it is the responsibility of the game operators to stop them forces the game operators into a binary hostile position of just banning everyone for everything with no discretion, because discretion is a sign of weakness.
This is not an opinion, nor is this a guess, or just me talking. This is something I've heard off the record from multiple developers of multiple games outside of this one. I've never sat down and had a beer with a Kabam dev and spoken about this topic off the record so this statement does not extend to them (nor would I repeat it if did) but as a blanket statement, I don't think there's a game operator on Earth that wouldn't acknowledge this as a truism.
