Longshot interaction against Buff immune opponents

The patch notes for current update said that they have "fixed an issue where Longshot could still inflict passive incinerates on buff immune opponents"

Just did a Titania v. Longshot, & he inflicted passive incinerates on her
Also happened against Hulk while I was using him with Silver Surfer synergy

    Hmm sounds to me like the interaction between Wiccan and buff immune opponents. If that is the case, what's the point of adding that note to the patch notes?

    The patch notes show it as a bug fix, which means he shouldn't have been inflicting those incinerates for all these years
