    We have Hercules, Ghost, Kitty Pryde, Dr Doom 6*, even OG SW. So i think 6* Magik shouldn't be too OP anyways.

    If they release her now as a 6* this soon after so many people ascended her because she isn't available as a 6*, there will be backlash

    I don't think so. I don't think I will ever actually use my ascended 5s, my ascended Magik took ages to be gladiator difficulty SQ but my R5 6 Star Doom crushed it much easier.

    All my little dust is going to 4 stars from now on.

    Thats just the nature of the Champs though...Magik was never a high damage dealer. Her shtick was Limbo, and insane power control, and Doom has always been a crazy damage dealer. Plus, an ascended 5* is still only like a 6R3, so an R5 Doom would have the edge anyway
    Not arguing any of these. Actually proved my point of why ascending 5 stars is somewhat of a waste lol

    No resource overlap between acsending 5 stars and 6 stars so not really.

    When are you ever going to use an ascended 5*, unless you are a new cav or potential TB? If you are already an end game player with R56s or R27s, you aren't doing any content with an ascended 5* outside of nostalgia (why I used Magik against Gladiator SQ)

    Using it on 4 stars will give a boost on the grindiest arena and you can select the ones needed for carina, potentially saving resources.

    I still remember when Miike said that a max sig max rank 5* og SW is too powerful to be released and boom, now a 6* is fairly 'easily' obtainable lol

    With more and more cosmic champions being immune to power drain, i don't think she'd be that broken as some people think she would be, they can very well release her as a 6* since we already have an even more broken champion (SW) as a 6*
    Is worth noting that with the AI being addicted to light intercept nowadays, it would be hard to do play with her by locking the champion on the wall....so another reason to just release her goddammit xD

    She doesn't drain power though, she steals it (and Power Locks, too)

    As a rule (and yes, there are exceptions) Techs tend to drain/burn Power whilst Mystics tend to Steal it.

    It's not a coincidence that there are multiple Cosmic champions immune to Power Burn/Drain, but only two immune to Power Steal.
    • Adam Warlock: specific vulnerability to Steal + specific empowerment when Power drained/burned.
    • Air Walker: places debuffs on the opponent when Power Drained, Burned or Locked.
    • Annihilus: An exception. Immune to all four 'Power control' options
    • Galan: Immune to Power Drain, Burn and Lock
    • Gorr: Additional regeneration when Power Burned.
    • Hulkling: An exception: immune to Drain, Burn and Steal.
    • King Groot: Immune to Drain/Burn
    • Red Goblin: Immune to Power Burn
    • Terrax: Immune to all four 'Power control' options against #Metal opponents i.e. largely against Tech
    • Venom: Immune to Drain/Burn Vs Tech opponents.
    • Venompool: Immune to Drain/Burn Vs Tech opponents.
    Out of those champions with immunities, only Annihilus is immune to both Magik's abilities (Power Drain + Power Lock), whilst Hulkling is immune to Power Steal.

    Not that Magik would need to Power Steal against Hulkling. As long as she doesn't throw it when he's Indestructible, her SP3 will make mincemeat of him.

    To be fair to the OP, I don't understand why 6* Magik doesn't exist. She got a good buff which still holds up, but she was never the best champ in the game. Sad to see her become irrelevant through no fault of her own.
