Help upgrade my roster

I have a lot of champions and I’m really not sure which ones I should rank up (specially among the 5 stars)

What I’m looking for:
• Champions that are very good for the main story quests;
• Champions that are very good for BG/Alliance War defense;

Knowing this, which 5* and 6* champions in my roster should I consider ranking up?

Could you give us some context on where you’re at in game progression wise? It’s easier to give rank up advice if we know what type of story content you’re trying to finish

Currently in act 6.2.5 (the Mordo boss)
I don’t think I’ll try to 100% act 6, so I’ll prob just try to crawl my way to Thronebreaker
