I don't get why we have to be stuck with this UC-grade calendar. It's not a great tradition to keep up especially considering that now we have four different progression level bases that each have different needs and this calendar doesn't address them in the slightest.

This looks like some bottom line strategy. Kabam was afraid that if they put decent rewards in the log in calendar, we'd settle for those and wouldn't spend as much on gifting, and it would cost them money.

Everytime Kabam says they're not doing something we accuse them of, they prove us right 🤣

I'm valiant and yes the login calendar Christmas calendar could be better but this is nothing new. It all comes down to what the Christmas gift is.... So I'm ok with this calendar it's free stuff

Why are you always defending this garbage? It doesn't matter if they're free. Free doesn't mean it's ok. This calendar needs to improve. The game has changed and these trash rewards need to change with it.

This dude. I haven’t seen a single person ask for full on 7*s for a calendar and every alliance milestones. I bet if they released 8.4 without any 7*s or relevant resources, you would say the same. The point is the rewards they are providing, and that people are spending money on, are just getting more and more outdated and pointless to add.
For Variant Players, nothing in this calendar holds ANY value
For Paragon Players, only the 4 GGC crystals hold SLIGHT value
For Thronebreaker Players, the GGCs and pocket change 6* shards hold SOME value
For Cavalier Players, the GGCs and 6* shards hold a DECENT value
For Uncollected Players, the pocket change gold, 6* shards and GGCs hold DECENT value
For everyone under, these rewards hold great value as they are not eligible for battlegrounds and lack those rewards
This calendar caters only to beginning players and at best holds decent value to UC players. Not that this calendar has to be game changing with 7*s, but it should be consistent with how its been the last few years and have something to look forward to. We shouldn’t lower our expectations every year and be less invested in the event, its bad enough that gifting has been taken away. This has been the most underwhelming event of 2023 to me personally as it is something i have always seen as special, but lately kabam has been giving less and less for event quests and especially banquet for the same efforts and costs. There is a fine line between being cautious, and stingy. I truly hope next year the banquet will be much less lackluster in terms of excitement and quality.

You have any idea how many times I've heard that "the Meta has changed" argument? Enough, let's just say that.
There are some Rewards that are tailored to progress based on the Titles, and some that are generic. It's been that way since before the Titles existed. Not everything is going to be top tier swag.
Further to that, I'm not defending anything but the refrain from exaggeration. All we've seen is complaints about Banquet just because Valiant is a thing now and R3s are released.
They said themselves that they want the largest Rewards to be geared more towards content like Necro, and if someone foregoes the Banquet in lieu of Necro, they're quite alright with that.
Contrary to popular belief, the existence of 7*s does not make everything else useless. People just choose to focus on them exclusively now. It happened with 5*s, then 6*s, then 7*s.
Is it the most mind-blowing Event ever? Not if you're not dropping thousands. That's the way it's always been. It's not absolutely useless. That's dramatic in my opinion.
The spirit of Banquet actually used to be the Gifting Event, which was more about gifting friends and Ally mates than anything. Greed took over that, and now what we have left is a watered-down version of it.
Comparison is the thief of joy. If all you focus on is how it compares to the top Rewards, then it's always going to pale in comparison. I'm sorry, but the only thing I'm defending is not letting expectations run wild. It is what it's always been and that's not going to change because people have Titles now.

The calendar is—or at least should be—embarrassing to the team. There’s really no reason not to make it at least marginally progression based.

I’ve participated more than I thought I would in the Banquet event, mainly because I have ally mates who will benefit mightily from some of the stuff. But this just seems super-lazy all the way around.

This is one of the most ridiculous things I've read lately. And that's counting the 4th "nerf act 6" post from Charliejiggens.

Everything about this log in is just WRONG and deserving of the negative reception. The type of rewards AND the quantity are grossly outdated and suitable only for beginner accounts, not for those of us who have been playing for YEARS. Kabam knew this when they programmed it and released it, but still reviewed it said it's was ok lol

For higher accounts, Day 1 should have began with 1 GGC.

Day 2: a minimum of 10,000 6* shards. That would have cost Kabam nothing since these shards don't hold the same value as they did when first introduced.

Day 3: 5 energy refills.

Day 4: These "fools gold" crystals are so outdated that they're a joke. Should have at least 20.

Day 5: different specialty crystal shards that players actually want, or some with increased 6* drop rate.

Day 6: 5* shards??? Really??? Should be another 10,000 6* shards.

Day 7: lmaoooooo Wtf?? Inexcusable. Should be at least 10 T6 Basics.

Week 2 should start with 2 GGC's. And for the middle of the week-- all of the above mentioned rewards for that part of the week.

Day 13: a MINIMUM of 2 level 3 revives or 2 lvl 6 health pots.

Day 14: 10 GGC's.

And this is all just a MINIMUM suggestion.

Furthermore, if Kabam insists on keeping useless, outdated rewards in events like this, then at least increase the quantity to where it's decent and useful. This will make up for the outdatedness. 50,000 4* shards could lead to dupes that get players some much needed iso.

Keep in mind that the calendars purpose is supposed to ENCOURAGE us to log in daily. I see no encouragement here.
