Decided to do another run of Necropolis to continue the march to Valiant....didn't go well

My first run of the Necropolis was on the "easy" path and it took me 183 revives. I didn't have Heimdal on my team and everyone said it will go much better when I do a run with him but I decided not to do that. Instead, this time I brought in Aegon, PM, Shuri, Abs Man and Wiccan.

Next time I'm going to have to try a team that includes Heimdal because this run cost me 320 revives.

I was really excited about the run because I got Aegon ramped up to 505 on just 4 revives against Mr. Fantastic, but everything went down here from there. On average I was only taking about 3 to 4% health off of any one defender before being killed. It took me 43 revives just to get pass Air Walker (compared to 21 on my first attempt) and 40 on Captain Britian (compared to 23). The only place that I spent less revives was on the Grandmaster (14 compared to 35 or so).

Now, why am I telling everyone about this...because I had soooooo much more fun on this run than my first one. I think the stress of trying to make sure I got it done in time to get the rewards made every death so much more frustrating.

Don't get me wrong, I still find a lot of things wrong with the design of Necropolis such as the over reliance on unblockable, turning up SP3 by 800%, and GM having an insta-kill heavy, not to mention just bad AI and dropped inputs left and right across the whole game not just Necro. However, overall I'm looking forward to my next run.....in about 4 months after I recover enough units and reviews to do it again.

Are you using units for these revives or where are you getting them from?

Also curious, that's a lot of units for revives. Did you buy unit deals, or are you an arena grinder? Congrats!!!! I hope that your next run in a few months is cheaper.

A little of both. When good deals come up like over cyber weekend or Xmas, I'll buy deals. Most of time it's just grinding out the 22 hour events and arena.

Yeah, Air Walker was much worse on that path. He terrible overall. I guess Abs Man didn't help?

    You sir are a sadomasochist

I am. I swore I wouldn't go back in but was bored on a Saturday and went back in. Each one of my runs has taken over 8 hours to complete. Since we're able to take breaks, I often would sit my iPad down for 20 or 30 minutes and take a walk and I stopped at the half way point and finished the next day.

As long as you are having fun that's all that matters. Still better than that guy who spent 12k units on 1 fight😭

Also, I would strongly suggest you try Kate for path 3. Shes pretty easy to get down and saves so many resources. Also for paths on the right, use Aegon with a team built around him. The differences is massive when comparing resource spend from an naked aegon with no synergies and an aegon with Prox, nick/odin, and Heimdall.

Disclaimer for Mr f lane: Don't use aegon.

Kate and shuri did the whole lane and gm in under 40 revs (no idea the exact cost I did it awhile ago)

How much skill would to say is needed to reasonably use Kate? Do I just need to have perfect release mastered, or is there more to it?

you kinda just need to know how she works. Like when I just got her I thought she was a little annoying and impractical to play because her arrows kept changing after sp1 but then I realized I needed to use her prefight to prevent that. And for the perfect release, it really should not be a problem. Just practice on Winter Soldier a little and remember you can slow down her special by holding the left of the screen after a second or two of launching either special. Once you've got her ramp down, you should be chilling cuz all your gonna have to do is heavy spam in the corner and dex specials when rooted. Good luck!

Which fight troubled you the most and why you spent a lot of revives? Air walker and apoc are understandable, I spent 20 and 13 revives on them each, but others are doable in less than 5 revs

No way, that didnt happen, unless he streamed it and got much more 12k units worth from the views lol

Something tells me that you ignored against the rope node? Which could explain why you only managed to take 4% hp per try.

I didn't ignore it but many of the defenders would shack up against the back wall especially AW and Cap. Britian so I just bit the bullet because I'm not a patient fellow.

Pretty much just dash back and play it slow. It's no more than like 7 revs if you're good with inverted controls

While i disagree with you constantly bashing proxima, I do had the same situation by taking proxima in instead of doom on mr f path. God damn it, Air walker and apoc became my biggest nightmares with Pure Aegon/shuri team, I should've took in doom instead of proxima.

Just did my last CB fight, 5 revives with Shuri. Play slow, parry a lot, and if you have exhaustion on expect to reverse controls.

Just don't throw sp1 and no need to worry about it. Once ramped sp3 spam and it's a 2 shot
