New event is here without update??

I didn't have an update or anything but the new quest is there. The thumbnail for event quests still has the generic catalyst pic and the boss pic on the second quest is a question mark. (idk if that's intentional but the thought occurred to me that it's missing a graphic for some reason)aln9ox7cmmb3.png

    Again there is no update today or any update announced for the next days

    What are you talking about? They said the update with the Sentry Event Quest was delayed due to bugs.

    Then voilà, 7 hours later, Event Quest appears without an update. I don't believe this was the plan...
    It almost feels like we're getting a look behind the curtain.

    They said the event was delayed, not the update for the event. The mods explicitly stated that there was no update required for this event, they just added the assets for the event into the game with the previous update. They said they did this last year as well.

    We know that the game event content is hosted on the game servers, and the game client mostly contains the mechanics and the assets - like the graphics and the sound. We know they can edit and change game content on the servers without updating the client, like they did for Ice Phoenix during the previous month's event. None of this should be surprising.

    I think its kabams intentions to get the game to a stable bug free version then apply any updates through ota patches. But it's just a guess. Idk if it has anything to do with Apple's new requirements of developers to release lootbox/crystals drop percentages but i doubt it.

    We used to get two or three events per update, but it's been a long time since they've done that. (the Guillotine one maybe?)


    Still feels pretty hinky, but I'm enjoying the quest so far!

    I believe the boss pic is supposed to be a mystery. It is the Collector, at least in Uncollected difficulty. Much easier than the Collector in 5.2, though.

    the collector the bass and maybe cuz in act 5.2.6 his boss things a question mark maybe thats why.

    if you actually read the announcement for the event quest, you'd have seen it was stated. there was/is NOT going to be an update to play this content. if there is an update they would let us know.
