Just realized that I don't think anyone's brought this up - on the page for the website regarding the event, they make the distinction between Paragon and Valiant Crystals. What's the difference going to be between the two types? New drop rates on the Valiant side for 7*s? Might be worth keeping in mind for my fellow Valiants - don't buy Paragons, buy Valiants if you're taking part in any capacity.
