How to use Antman

I just got a 7 star ant man and for years he was a never use character with stacked buff regeneration making him horrible. I saw his new set up and an trying to figure out how to use a basic attack to intercept an opponent (I’ve always used medium dash attack) and how do you strike an opponent when they are recovering from a heavy? I typically dodge the heavy and come right back in with a medium attack but neither of the ways I’m doing it are giving me Pmy Particles.

Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated!
