Okay. How many free points can you earn in platinum each week when you open it on Friday? Mine I believe is 500 max usually. If it's 10k points, then it equals out.
So do you basically earn 1 Point for every (Penny, Cent, etc), or thus 100 Points for every “Dollar” (whatever your local currency calls a “Dollar”).
And thus also is that first Pic shown at top from a screencap of someone's video (someone from the UK) ? But you yourself are in a country whose currency is a larger denomination based currency (Lire, Yen, Ruple, etc, because of exchange rates and currency valuations), and thus your subsequent Pic showing higher amount ??
So for you it shows you need 20,000 Points, but those are based in a currency where it basically costs 200 “Ruple, etc” to purchase something that in the UK only costs English residents 10 British Pounds to buy.
Thus you have to redeem MORE Points, because you had similarly EARNED MORE Points originally.

I know Google Points are currency adjusted, but its fuzzy. For example, I believe players in Japan earn a Google point for every 100 yen. Back in 2017 or so, that would have been about one dollar as well, but today that's closer to 65 cents. I'm not sure what the conversion ratios are in other regions, but it is possible this is a combination of currency adjusted Google point valuation and locality adjustments (some things cost more in some places than others even adjusting for currency, because the cost of doing business in that location is higher for the app stores).
I can't explain a 20x difference, but I am not a Google play expert.

Could be your progression level as well. I'm valiant with platinum level in Google play and my deal is 1k points.
Might be price dependent on location, not sure.
