Here we go again. Another BG rant

KanoooKanooo Member Posts: 124

Thank you Kabam, for my latest streak of 11 mindblowingly wonderful consecutive losses.

Once I've reached Vibranium, I'm thoroughly "S" r@7ed.

I'm almost constantly up against 60k, 50k opponents, using my 16k (and rarely 20k) champs.

Meanwhile, my oppoents are happily pounding away on my 40k and sometimes 35/7 k defenders (using their 30k champs).

Damn!

There has (got) to be something wrong with your matchmaking.

    *Sees there's a problem*
    *Problem can't be with me*
*If I'm not the problem, it must be the matchmaking*

Tell me. Do you get paid to defend Kabam?

    Skill issue, no matchmaking issue

I wish I was good enough of this game to get paid.

In all seriousness, people who complain about BG matchmaking almost always have an unspoken assumption, that they should be able to advance further than they currently are but are unable to because stronger accounts block them out.

If that is the case, what is the "fair" progression that people should be able to achieve? Just getting to the GC, Gamma, Arcane, Celestial? Not everyone is meant to get to the GC, let alone the top tiers of GC. How far do you think is it "fair" for you to advance?

Matchmaking is working as intended. As you rise through the competition, it gets harder. It is that simple. Fewer people with less developed rosters have made it as far as you, and you can only match people in your tier and who are looking for a match at the same moment you are. Kabam isn't trying to give us equal matches outside of that, and they shouldn't.

Matchmaking and skill aren’t the same thing.
The fairness comes into play all the time. I regularly fight people with 5 ⭐️ on their roster and i have 97 7* champs. I also run into people with more than 20+ rank 3 champs which puts me at a disadvantage but is much closer of a match.

You should never have to play against accounts twice your size. It’s not the progression that’s unfair. It’s the people that you’re playing against having a bigger roster size. I can’t believe you would even defend this. They must pay you well or you’re ignoring inarguable facts. It’s a fact this is a broken system. Unless it’s geared that way for the $5 it costs to keep playing and putting up points

Skill issue if you've lost 11 matches in a row. I have 68 7* and am chilling in Gamma right now. And I am by no means an excellent player.

Alsi, comparing PI means almost nothing. Rarity, rank, and sig level are better indicators of roster strength

    The denial of some players...
You reached or got close to your roof, you got a small account with a small deck and got to Vibranium 5, its not the matchmaking its where you are standing in the game.

Respectfully, that still doesn't answer my question. How far should a player "fairly" be able to reach given it's a competition against everyone?

Now tell us why you think that you deserve to face easy competition
While others have to go through tough?
Even when rewards are same, competition is same? 🫠

If what you're asking for happens then players with higher skill levels and rosters will only ever play harder accounts which actively punishes progression.

You hit your ceiling and that's fine, there's no problem with the matchmaking it's with your expectations

Why do you deserve to win fights against players who are better than you?
