Wasting time on battlegrounds

First of all, Climbing battlegrounds is as hard as it is. People really joining BG matches and leaving them hanging when they know they will lose is such a crude behavior. When everyone is trying to hit milestones, some are just trying to pull others down. Shameful behaviour as a community to those guys.

Not sure if you are aware but if your opponent leaves a match you get the full Victory points in BG. This actually is worst for the opponent since they don't get any points at all. Free win is still free victory points and it takes less time for you so why would anyone complain about this situation.

No I was not aware of that. I don't get that either way. So if I join a match and forfeit immediately do I get more point or if I join a match and set aside my phone for 5 mins until I eventually lose I get more points? And how much? Because either way I cannot win against 7* serpent or onslaught and top meta champions when I have 5 7*s. Personally, I prefer not fighting against people I know I'll just lose 2 fights against with my roster. But I'd rather forfeit not wasting 5 mins per game on a sure lose game. I understand the sentiment if it gives points but given the structure of the event, are you then playing for points/time spent or just scraping away at anything?

If you join a match and quit out anytime before the whole match is complete, you don't get any points and you will forfeit the match. You lose and your opponent wins. You get zero points but they will get the win and the points associated with it. If you are using elder marks and quitting the match, you are doing no service to yourself since you will get zero points.

There's a mechanic on some games where you can press a button which prompts your opponent to press it to check if they are active or not. If inactivity persists it's an auto forfeit for that opp. This way it saves time for both the players. It's just a suggestion. I know this might take ages to even implement something similar to this mechanic and that battlegrounds might not even remain relevant at that point. Eh, I just tried out leaving a match to stall out while writing this so I can say it doesn't feel like anything to do this to others, but damn it feels bad when it happens to you.

With all the issues that the game has, I'm sure adding something like would only make the game worse.

True. It's also the fact it sucks when you see your opp definitely gonna lose cause they are using 4*s against 7*s but each of the actions that progress the game takes as long as it possibly can and now you're suddenly wasting 2-3 minutes more for each battle like this.
