How high does Kushala’s sig need to be before it makes more sense to use the 7*?

So I finally duped my 7* Kushala today. She is definitely one of my favorite Mystic champs, but up until now I’ve been using my 6* R5 Ascended max sig version. Now that I have her duped, I’m trying to figure out if I should rank the 7* or wait till her sig is a bit higher.

Thoughts?

    I will note that I am going to be R3ng at least one mystic in the coming weeks. Candidates right now are unawakened Juggs and unawakened America Chavez or duped Kushala. So, pretty good chance I may take her all the way to R3 if I rank her. Only thing that would cause a shift is if I pull Shattra from the Titan in a few weeks.

    Just curious how you found her playstyle to be using your now r3 low sig compared to having the sig maxed on the 6*? Was it still easy to maintain all the blessings in BGs matches?

    I still haven’t ranked the 7*. I ended up going with my (at the time) unduped Chavez who I have since duped, so obviously happy about that call.

    I do think the higher sig matters which is a key reason I haven’t done it, but I’ll admit I haven’t done extensive testing either. I do have the mats to potentially take her up now post Cyber week, but I’m holding to see if I pull Spiral when the Titan pool resets. I may prioritize Spiral and Isophyne over Kushala since I still have the R5A max sig 6*. It will depend on how much I like Iso and Spiral.

    R2 7star unduped solo’s a couple necro fights for me… so I’d say the sig is a luxury just means she’s not as successful vs skill champs which really isn’t her target match up

    @BigBlueOx oh that part of her sig i could care less for, it was more so in regards to the being able to keep the blessings paused for longer. I could see it allowing you to play casually if at high sig whereas at low sig or unduped you'd have to weave in more heavies and intercepts just to keep them paused

    To be honest, I’ve never stressed out over that. I find that she has so much damage that while managing her spells definitely helps her, it’s also not as critical to playing her as we’ve been told.

    Plus I’ve also found that there’s still enough time unduped to keep the spells you need active when it matters

    Edit: it could still handy for when you need her utility of the AI manipulation, blocking unblockable, or power control. But for the purpose of short fights like in BGs where you just mainly want her damage, its probably not as crucial.

    Maybe but like I mentioned above I was able to solo Necropolis Odin with her unduped

    I asked Kushala's designer that question about the 7* & he said 60 is okay, but 80 is a sweet spot before 200. Obviously, the more the better. I recently took her to sig 80 & the 3 second pause feels really smooth

    Interestingly enough - I hadn’t thought about this as much recently but when this thread got necro’d today I decided to to go have a look at Aunt M.ai and had decided that 80 was probably the point where I would rank her. I have duped her again since September when I created this thread, so she is currently at 40. If I duped her again I’d probably be willing to invest 20 more sigs in her and R3 her.

    @Giantwalrus56 thanks for sharing that, i never considered a sweet spot for half of the max sig at 3s long.

    @Oakenshield you can also use the glorious games sigs on her since the pool for that doesnt have much contenders besides domino. assuming you wouldn’t hoard them until Mr Sinister is awakened (2nd best champ to sig after Domino imo)

    @Polygon thanks. I have a GG AG so I’ll likely be using that on Sinister, after which the sigs will go to him since I just finished maxing out Domino. Just have too many other priorities for my mats so not sure I’m going to prioritize Kushala given I’ve got the R5A max sig 6* already. Maybe eventually but Spiral/ISO and now potentially Wong for the Necro Carina’s challenges all are probably higher on my list. If I don’t pull Spiral maybe?
