Need help with bahamut

Hello all I seem to do something wrong in bahamut second phase

I get his 3 charges
I bait his sp1
I parry his half circular projectile
The green word “parry” appears
But he does not get in his damage phase.

I assume I am forgetting a part but watching videos I don’t seem to find what part I am missing

Any help would be appreciated

    In every phase after the 1st, you have to throw a special into the beam first, then parry it the second time.
    Be sure to read through his phases. It will be very helpful.

    You're going to interact with his projectile twice, so he is going to throw two specials. The first one, you throw a special into a projectile. Then you push him to SP1 with charges again. On the second projectile, you parry it back.

    I flipping hate that damn fight so much. I’m stuck exactly where you are. I’ve tried to do all what they’re recommending but still can’t get it. I refuse to spend 5000 units on that final deathless guillotine piece though

    The first time I did this fight, it was a massive pain. I just finished exploring that quest yesterday and shang-chi made it so much easier. Anyone with cleanse or high likelihood debuff shrug makes it way faster. You can’t throw your special until the beam has been launched. Having to do that every phase (expect the 10%-0% phase) got me the first time too.

    @kvirr tries that a few times gonna watch it again … but the comments here with growing special … it’s not available to trow. Got him down form 80 to 65 with just the reduced damage … seems maybe that is the only way for me the game mechanics I just can’t get my head around it


    It seems there is something in that fight that as soon as you get that it becomes doable but before that … it’s terrible and just a 5 million health champ with 85% damage reduction

    It is just so much of a frustration fight if you can’t get it going. … currently I am at 4+4+10 fights in and at 62%

    The general sequence of the fight is stay close to him to gain yellow charges. There’s a timer underneath him that shows you when these charges will increase, only if you’re close to him. When he throws his sp1, he applies a debuff and if you shrug it, you also get a charge. Once he gets to 3 charges, when he throws a special, then the ray will happen. First time this happens in a phase (or anytime you revive), you have to throw a special attack when he launches the ray. From 100-80%, all you have to do is knock him down once you do the special ray. From 80-10%, you have to build charges up to another ray, and then parry it. 10% to the end of the fight is also parry the ray, but it bounces back.

    Which part isn’t happening properly or giving you trouble? Is it getting him to shoot the ray, knowing what to do when he does shoot it, or something else?

    It’s the understanding when people talk about the ray > they mean the partial circle / shield like thing not the ray before that. It’s when he tries that last part of his special when at 3 charges you have to trow your special in it ….

    You have to build him to 3 Volatility, let him use an L1, and throw a Special into it. Then build him to 3 Volatility again and let him L1 again. You Parry the green ray back to him.

    I got the final click on when to trow the special … now getting the parry right … got him in third stage now … so he is going down… now to get the hang of the orange and green projectiles … one to evade one to parry …

    @Magrailothos the problem is … that with the way my mind works … I kept missing the part that you Need to build twice to 3 charges with the first time heaving a special ready to trow in the circle part projectile and second time parrying it … somehow that part didn’t click in my head (it does now … gonna go for third part now)

    Already watched that video 3x before trying and twice during …

    Hey you got to part 4. That’s a big accomplishment from the start of this thread. It just takes longer. Take whoever on your team can shrug debuffs best. The more rays you can get him to shoot, the faster it’ll go.

    Watch Simula's breakdown. It's very clear and easy to understand. To help myself out even more, I literally wrote down notes for each phase, and paused to read my notes when I got to that phase. I've 100% Act 8.

    Ignore what he says about Elsa and her evade being a problem though. She is great for Bahamet since her evade counter can help keep him in his corner.
