I've read the nodes for VC can someone tell me why I'm taking incinerate damage from a none tactic defender with a tactic attacker thanks.

Because Hulk takes awhile to place any debuffs unless you get into rage early. Tactic defenders would've actually made you less likely to take damage. You took more damage because Doom isn't a tactic defender, so Hulk had less debuffs to place, and less debuffs means less damage mitigation. You're missing how the nodes actually work.

The non-tactic defender still has hazard shift incinerate, poison, so you’ll only the prevent damage if you have multiple debuffs on the defender or are immune.
