Mephisto L1 and Recoil [More Info Needed]

During Mephisto's L1, recoil is hitting after his incinerate but before the ground spikes finish.

My understanding is that recoil is suppose to hit after the L1 completes.

As it stands, L1 hasn’t finished and Mephisto gets hit (sometimes dies).

Can you have a look? Doesn’t seem consistent with other heroes.

Can someone at least confirm that this is intentional? That Mephisto is meant only to deliver half of his L1 before being hit with recoil...

Hey Grimm. I just tested this, and he only got hit with Recoil after the animation on my end. Can you let me know some more specifics about this fight?

I haven’t had this since the end of December events and the new events kicked in.
I will test this on the current uncollected maps but I know nodes will be different from the prior uncollected mal
