Gameplay overall disappointment

RemVDRemVD Member Posts: 12
Hi, just wanted to share my overall disappointment with the gameplay and difficulty:

Maybe I am a noob, or just 3 7* R3s are not enough, but I feel like the game is way too difficult for how unfair the A.I is.
Autoblocks, evades, untouchables, indestructibles, unblockables, reaction times of 0.2 where A.I launches a special at the same time they're standing up while my specials are not interactive until after the complete animations plays out.

I have no content to play, in the special quest tab, I can only do the shinning stars, road to labyrinth and realm of legends. Everything else 2 shots me and I do no dmg.
Other than the monthly quest on thronebreaker difficulty, everything else 2 shots you and god forbids you ever get hit by a special. Or that death touch those dearhless champs have.
To me is not fun having these op nods that makes the opponents annoyingly op on a 2d one line game.

I don't know how you can even do 1% dmg in the epoch of pain thing but okay, let this be content for good players.

But please, can there also be some content where the AI doesn't obliterate me in one special? Or doesn't poison me to death? I would like some back and forth fights where there's room for a miss intercept, or to eat some hits and keep fighting, not just unblockable special and dead try again for 30 cents.

Thank you

Just so you know that special tab content is mostly content for end game players and is perm content it is not content made just for anyone to play so if you find yourself unable to play it you can save a bunch of revives up and revive through it congrats on the 3 r3s though also i believe i heard 9.2 comes out next month so you got that to look forward to since you have nothing to do enjoy your break

That's what I mean. I only have one 7-star r3. Some players rosters are not as robust as the top tier players.

So maybe certain content isn't for us/me then? That seems to generally be KABAMs response (and many on the forums). I have no problem with that.

That also leads to having no reason to play this game (and I would probably personally be better off for it).

In such a community-centric game (alliances and group events for example), it feels like a bad decision to alienate a large majority of your player base even if they don't make up the majority of income generated.

All of the content that exists outside of endgame content is meant to help players build up skills and rosters to prepare them for that endgame content.
If they put too much focus on midgame content, players simply wouldn't progress in any way, shape or form.
Endgame content is the focus so that longtime players are engaged and have content to do because they've done everything else. Players that aren't ready for endgame content already have plenty of content to work through before they need to be worried about new content. That isn't to say that Kabam can't make lower level content, but the emphasis is always on progression, and easy content for lower levels doesn't result in those lower levels progressing.
If a player has story content left on the table, they don't need to be worried about new content, they can focus on content that helps them develop.

Both OP and Wolverine pfp are right.

The game is pretty unfairly balanced and progressing shouldn't require an expert level understanding of how to play the game with a lot *requiring* you look at content creators to understand stuff the game fails to tell you.

Like this thread alone told me that special is for endgame, something I never would've known and I've been playing this game since like 2016 and that's because I chose to go to the forums.

The game needs to do a better job at explaining things in digestable bites since the casual player will not understand walls of text of abilities they do not understand how they work.

Like a good way to do this is to update practice mode/add champion tutorials (something that would have to come in waves per update) and have the game walk you through a recomended combo or tell you what to do to use that champion as intended or to the best it can offer, and a better information screen as a bonus.

Maybe even label specific content as beginner, moderate and endgame and have something on your account tell you what level you are at upon differing factors.

Again, the AI issue would fix a lot of this but if that's something that is going to take ages to fix then there can at least be a work around to help the players in the meantime.

How is fixing AI issues going to help your understanding of the bane node? Or how to use Spider Punks SP2?

    ugh another one.

Seriously. Endgame content means test of skills and roster in most difficult/hard way. Casual or non end gamers or no skilled players stay away from such content. There is plenty content available for you on monthly basis. Meanwhile end-game players or Players who are highly skilled & near to endgame have limited content to test themselves.

My thoughts of this so called end game, is an absolute desperation driver, to get an r4 to get those crystals, it was the same with necropolis it's insanely difficult. Only the best of the best do this relativity itemless, I play p4 wars we are a completive alliance most are spending 30+ revives per path for epoch if you don't have serpent much more. I haven't heard anyone say these quests are enjoyable rather the rewards are enjoyable.
