Archangel still a decent champion?

Hi all, just wondering if Archangel is still a decent champion ? Have a 6* awaken and unsure if he's worth investing in.

What’s your current progress?

AA remains a terrific option to most things that allow you to parry, bleed and poison them.

If you’re beyond the stage where content allows you to do that (Epoch, Ordeal, etc.) he’s unlikely to help much.

It can be useful in some war matches and for VT in BGs dependiung on the meta.

I prefer to invest on 7* but AA wont be a 7* in a time so is a decent 6* option to invest.

Don't listen to this. As long as the opponent can be bled and poisoned AA still wrecks.

He’s good but being 6* locked, he has become irrelevant as far as bgs is concerned and probably will fall off some more as the story mode progresses and the health pools get bigger

Being bleed or poison immune is like half the game, only reason he stayed relevant was his performance in bgs which he isn’t even used in anymore.

AA wasn't ever really a BGs champ to begin with due to his play style. And even tho there are bleed and poison immune champs, they usually aren't both at the same time. So really as long as they aren't bleed immune it's fine.

If you're at the point where you have to ask if he's useful, he probably is useful for you (since we don't know where you currently are in story mode/progression).

I bet you thought that about Aegon too.
I can easily foresee AA being relevant in upcoming BGs, all he needs is a node like: "Every time the Defender is named Archangel, he becomes passively unstoppable, unblockable, and indestructible for 5 seconds. Cooldown: 0 seconds."

I do think the same about Aegon, he’s useful in long content only therefore he isn’t worth the rank.

Sometimes I wonder if you speak just for sake of speaking in reverse,

At the time when 6* were relevant and we only had 7r2 with 7r3 very rare, the single appearance of 6r5 sig200 Ascended AA made players **** bricks and rush to ban him, he was a cheatcode in BG who was able to finish fights under 30 seconds, I still remember bullying annoying Mordo and 6* Bullseyes with AA.

Now that 7r3 are running wild, AA just loses so much HP from block damage that he's irrelevant now, plus bigger healthpool of r3 makes his 30 second timer stretch to 50 and with 80% hp remaining, he's just not priority anymore.

Yeah makes sense. I tried ramping Sentry in a BG match, it did not work out...

At act 6. Have completed with a struggle but costing a lot to fully explore. Is he any use at this point ?

Yes, especially being in act 6 currently. You still have a ton of content he will be useful for.

We have a better shot at the April release being bug-less than getting a 7* AA before r6 7* are a thing.
