What was the limit? Seconds? I tried it as soon as I could get the page to properly load and input it.

2 questions that might have been good to have answers posted somewhere for:

1. What was the reward? If it’s small enough people move on
2. Is that even the code? If it’s the wrong code then maybe people focus energy on that

How could that possibly go wrong, given the fact that it wasn't even clear on how "limited' the code would be.
Sting/swing and a miss is right.. They don't seem to get how to make people get excited about tuning in to their streams.
And now there's 2 people in the world somewhere who got a secret reward, and who knows if we'll ever know what they were lol... this is all kind of stupid but whatever... guess i keep doing my daily min for Super Daily Event milestones until 9.2 drops

The intention here was 2 Codes, 1 redemption each, 2 lucky winners who were able to guess and enter first. This was a test and we'll be looking to expand on this in future livestreams.

At the end of the day, we had Twitch Drops for all ( which we comp'd from the issue today ), 5 Titan Crystals given to lucky winners, then another chance to win with the Champion Choice for another 5 people, Then we decided to give even more chances to win to two more people with the Secret codes.

Hopefully lesson learned. Making us compete to figure out some insane mystery and then making everyone go crazy wondering what was going on for two hours was not the play.

This feels… underbaked, and that feels like a generous description. Promo codes are a way to deliver rewards to everyone. You already had a method of giving rewards to a select few in the giveaways. Mixing and matching like this feels like it just obfuscates how people can redeem things and participate in the stream.

Moreover, I feel like you guys are supposedly making efforts to keep people interested in paying attention to the stream, and I feel like a system like this only does the opposite. Instead of interacting with you guys or just trying to absorb the content presented, people are just gonna be looking out for nothing but random buzzwords that might be the secret code and constantly inputting them into the summoner’s market to get a chance to cash out the one redemption per code. Especially without a way to confirm if the secret codes have been found and redeemed, people are gonna keep doing this throughout the entire stream even if there’s no more valid codes left. All in all, I think this idea is just fundamentally unsound. Just stick with regular promo codes.

Definitely a Sting and a Miss on this concept. Can appreciate trying new things… but instead of seeing what sticks to the wall it might be a good time to see what feedback is already out there on this… and universal promo codes are something that was never broken, and didn’t need fixing.

Curious since this is like the giveaway combined with opening a crystal, pure RNG. How did we go from using promo codes for all who watch to now only a select few, a very narrow few if they can discover the "secret" promo code. It would be nice to not limit it to two and have the community work together to determine it. That provides something for all and would be positive community engagement. If only two people win, and you don't even share what the prize was, why would you advertise and market this "hidden code" so much as something we should pay super close attention to? I spent an hour of my life studying the irrelevant details of a stream, searching for the code. If this wasn't marketed as a special thing more than 0.000000000002% of the population would earn, I would have stopped all the effort and saved myself the trouble. Instead I would have playing in the background while I worked on things that actually matter.

I am mad that I was dumb enough to think you were doing something pro-player. It's so disappointing that you just make the whole viewing experience sour. I honestly am at a loss as to how you thought this would make people feel like their time watching the stream was worthwhile. Instead I feel like you just wasted an hour I'll never get back.

So the new idea was denied codes for everyone and make another contest to other 2 winners, whit the intention to hype the streams, whitouth tell us the limitations.

If this was a monetized twitch channel where content is uploaded everyday and you guys make money out of views I kinda get it...for a 1 stream a month to announce game stuff I don't understand why promocodes are such a big deal...

This feels like a REALLY annoying way to make people spam every single stupid pun you say (and there were A LOT) rather than pay attention to the livestream.

I know they have been doing lots of experiments on us lately, but I just don’t get the point of this one. You already have super rare prizes that only a handful of people win so you decided to do that again? Who does that make happy? Literally 2 people. I don’t get it. The endless carrots on sticks is so exhausting.

It’s just another form of click baiting! Drag us in to watch with the offer of promo codes (which they advertised) and then only 2 people (out of about 10k watching) are able to get those unknown prizes (probably useless cav crystals🤣).

Solidifies my decision not to watch future streams. If all you want is viewership and are ok with the tactics of clickbait to get that then I am better off doing more productive things in life.
