Since most decks are full of r3s at this point and r4s already started to roll out, yes I think it's time.
However, I would very much rather they got nerfed down to top 5 in their class based on the details Miike gave us a while ago before he left... Yes I know it's not happening but I like to imagine what that could've been like 🙃 really don't get why people are so against this idea when nowadays you don't even need to use them anymore cause both Act 5 and Act 6 have been effectively nerfed to the ground when compared to what they used to be.
I’m genuinely baffled that so many people on that poll were saying no to them getting nerfed and released as 6* or even 7*. Like we get really good champs still and we actually get to play them? Such a massive win for us. Why vote to keep them as 5* and the same when the game will move far past them and they’ll be irrelevant
What about the people who are currently using those champs at their available rarities now? What happens to them?
People keep talking about the game like the game follows them; the only relevant things that exist in the game are the things relevant to them. These things are relevant, these other things are obsolete. But players still do Act 2, they still do Cavalier difficulty, they still do Realm of Legends. They still rank up 6* champs, and 5* champs, and 4* champs, and even 3* champs.
At the very top of the game, there's only so many champs that get released into crystals every month, every quarter, every year. If Kabam decided to release Quake and Magik as 7* champs, that would mean two other champs wouldn't get released into the 7* pools; they would have to displace other champs. No one actually has 7* versions of those champs, so no one is being prevented from using them. Conversely, not releasing them isn't preventing players from getting more champs added to the 7* pool; we don't have fewer 7s because of that. So holding them back is only causing the people who want to them to not be able to get them, but the same would be true of the champions that get displaced. Lots of players waiting for two other champs would no longer see them arrive in the 7* pool, or be delayed substantially. Nothing is being "wasted" by those champs not being released into the higher rarity crystals.
Nerfing Quake and Magik to alter them sufficiently to release into the 7* pool takes those champs away from the players playing them at lower ranks (as they currently exist) to allow players who don't have them to have the opportunity to acquire them at higher rarities. You're trading one set of players for another. I don't see why Kabam should prefer one group's interests over the other in this instance.
I have a better idea. Keep 5* and below quale and magik as it is, and release nerfed 6* version. They already have the tech for it. Look how 1*s still have older kits
The whole 1* colossus wasn't buffed because *new players* still angers me. (Only when I think about it, which I haven't for years(?) untill you just bought it up)
Yeah its still confusing as wouldnt it help new players understand the new kit better than not

What they said that it was not a problem with newer players getting him as an attacker, but when they fight him as a defender.
As in, what if the defending Colossus parries the new players and stuns them. Like that was ever gonna happen.
Not sure kabam could figure out how to work around all the nodes and scenarios for a 6 or 7* magik.
Still remember when she was one of the worst champs to get.
Now I do honestly think she would break the game.
Magik existed as 5* when 5*s were the meta in the game. Guess what? The game didn’t broke. Let alone that nowadays there are countless counters for Magik and her limbo, compared to how many counters existed back then. Magik has at least 3x more counters than some current meta defenders like Enchantress currently has, and champs like Enchantress exist as 7*s. 6* Magik at least, should had entered the game years before. As for Quake, maybe release the 6* when 7* r4s become more common, and that’s around this summer. This is all again the 6* SW will break the game conversation. It’s not 2016 anymore. 100% yes to 6* Magik 👍 Debatable for 7* Magik and 6* Quake 🤔 No to 7* Quake 👎

Man everytime I see these threads, I get sad. I was way too, out of the line, dependent on quake. She saved me so many revives. 🤧 Oh and I upgrade her in my alt, for science evade tbEQ. Just needed a reason to press the button. R5 magic rocked many early BGs meta tho.
