Is this deal exploration or completion? My alli teammates say completion, here's the thing it is a really good deal but I'm not planning on dropping 1k in a mobile game the same month they should've made the offer pop up after exploration not completion cause I would've held off on exploration and bought it next month but since it's completion and spring cleaning is starting soon I'm not buying it, bummer.
These are always completion deals no clue why they always say exploration
The intent was for the name to imply these deals were to help the player explore, not to reward the player for completing. The description of the offer further explains this: "a collection of items to aid your team in exploring Act 9 Chapter 2."

When it comes to wording like this, there's rarely a universally understood version. You might think your way makes more sense, but there's tons of people who will see it in the exact opposite way.

I really don't think so. Maybe the cash sales will be good, but I don't think we're getting a unit deal for a Titan Nexus and an R4 gem. That's literally the highest prizes available in the game (with an AG being part of that group).

It's going to be quite the dilemma for these eager beavers: letting the deal expire or buying overpriced units from the store.

My suspicion is most of the day one players know what they are doing. A few always get caught, but if you're a strong enough player to blitz 9.2 on day one, you've probably been around long enough to know that exploration offers exist.

The strength of the offers varies, but if you care at all it is worth waiting literally a few hours for someone to post about it and find out.

But you can get units for free, just a bit of grinding. And I already have those units. Now it's a question if the offer is worth the time invested to get them.

So even assuming most eager beavers check Reddit or the forums with regularity (which I doubt, we're a small bunch overall), I wouldn’t blame them for diving in immediately without checking to see or expecting an offer this generous—previous ones, including 9.1, weren’t close.

I appreciate the sarcasm but for the record, no one should grind their life away in arenas or spend cash.

Just hold off on doing 9.2.6 until you've saved up the units to buy the offer. Units really do add up quickly if you play the game; just autofighting the lower progression EQs is about 500 units. Arenas (other than the 4*) take about an hour to complete and give 300-400 units. It's not that difficult with a little patience and self-control (i.e., not wasting units on impulsive purchases/revives).

Every year we say July 4 and banquet is going to be better and every year it ends up disappointing. Even the last j4 was disappointing for most as there's no AG there but we got a 7* AG on Omega days event, banquet - do I even need to explain.

Oh believe me, banquet was one of the most overhyped and underdelivered events that we've ever had with how god awful those GGCs were (the livestream they hyped the rewards for it had to be the second worst live stream of all time, with the first being the obvious recent one where like 5 champs were behind a paywall)

Now with that said, i still think spending 15k units on banquet would have been more beneficial to somebody's account than this deal because of how good the champs like medusa sentinel deadpool etc were.

That pool of champs is honestly better than the Heart of Fire champs, and they wont ever come back until end of the year, whereas r4 mats would be way more available by then.

I can arguably say I'm patient, I have 7 Titans and 2 Titan nexus to open plus other 7* basics. I also have the units to purchase that 9.2 unit deal, don't spend on revives and I'm also F2P.

Regarding catch up mechanic against whales, it's simply not true because 1) Whales will also be able to buy that deal 2) There are far more spending offers for them overall 3) Top ranked players are now able to aquire more t7b from game mode rank rewards.

The decision whether the deal is valuable or not is based on players perspective. As far as how I see things, it's clear to me that r4s are going to come relatively fast which means they will also devalue fast. Next progression title will most likely come by the end of the year and T7CC will probably be the chase Item for banquet. The pace will go slower again for R5 acquisitions. I can't say I know this will happen for a fact however since I started playing this game I pay a lot of attention towards game economy and how things are being handled precisely because I try to maximize both my time and my resources.

Is it a bad deal? No
Would I consider purchasing it? No

Unless your desperate for the rewards, possibly worth not completing 9.2 until the july 4th deals come out and you can do a head to head compare whats the better value. Personally, I always find july 4th underwhelming so I'd be suprised if it gets you even half a r4

I have completely stopped doing arenas since October last year.
I have 6k units.
2 offers I spent units on.
- 750 unit relic AG February
- 1000 unit TB EQ unit bundle.
I did Ordeal, Epoch, 4 CCP challanges, 3 gauntlet run, 2 EOP runs. 2 necro challanges left, I don't have fam or odin/serp. Here's my backup stash.

Without arenas, I'm not going to reach 15k units anyway. By the time I reach 15k (if that happens) there will be better offers and the game would have progressed.
I am never going to do arenas ever again. 150k arena fights are already under me stats.

I don't mean this as personal attack that some of us know what we are doing on how to maximise rewards in-game. Many of us have played this game for a lot longer and have a deeper understanding of what we want/need.
My P3 alliance don't need 1 extra r4.
My map668 AQ alliance don't need 1 extra r4 for prestige.
My BG deck don't need 1 extra R4 to defeat whale noobs, the skilled whales are the real threat and those matches has been like that forever.
Used to land m2, but not since October, when I stopped pushing. I have been all over arcane, gamma, uru, a rare quantum in between. I don't/can't push BGs tbh. Maybe someday I will. But most likely never again.
The only catchup for most people in the game are missing deathless champs. Other catchups are not that important from what I have observed. Whales have 50 r3s. No f2p can catch up to that.

This is my f2p perspective who will never play arenas (outside the anniversary ones, they rock).

People who still do arenas and/or have units or they can re-stash units again for future offers, have to decide for themselves.
The whales who know they will buy odins or namors in future, have to decide for themselves.

I don't care enough about it, playing the game on my terms. To nobody's surprise, it's going great.

Sure, it's a good offer, if I was as sweaty as before, I would maybe get it.
But you'll live, if you skip it.

I feel like they are definitely counting on the FOMO on this one. I was seriously considering it, but then I realized (a) I already know I can complete 9.2 with my roster, (b) whatever r4 I get is get is going to be banned in BGs, (c) I’m in no rush whatsoever to get whatever progression title comes next because I haven’t received any sort of real value or deals for the last two progression titles, and (d) Kabam is a business so there will always be these types of deals.

If you want the offer, get it. If you don't, then don't. It holds a lot of current value. As with everything in this game, give it 3 months and you'll spend significantly less. Personally, I am not getting the offer. I've been out of the rat race that is MCOC's high end modes for a while, but if you're trying to bridge the gap to get you there, go for it. It's 2-3 months of grinding which isn't bad and way better than Bastion-only offer they had recently.

People usually say 4th of July is better, but that is in totality where you have to buy all the deals (30k+ unit spend). Are you the type of player who is usually able to buy all the 4th of July offers?

Because if not, you're probably spending 15k already on the lower tiers of 4th of July Offers for likely less valuable items. The R4 stuff is probably locked to the higher tiers of spending.

Personally, I have been underwhelmed by 4th of July sales since the good stuff is typically locked behind high spend. Past years I've typically just bought something that seems 'worth it' from the tier 1 or tier 2 levels, and called it a day. So for me, I anticipate that spending on Act 9.2 offer + July 4th tier 1 offer will get me better stuff than trying to save up and buy all the 4th of July offers.

Last year's banquet wasn't meant for anyone to spend so much money until you get the first 7* R4 champion in the game

But they did for whatever reason they have and that's fine for the financial health of Kabam
