Kabam is going to open all our crystal reserves, arguing that this should unload the servers of the game. but I think it's a hoax. All our accumulated crystals with 4 catalysts, awakenings of 2 and 3 star characters, and much more that will simply burn up in the inventory without being spent for its intended purpose. So that it would be difficult to obtain or re-pay for resources that could be spent on a higher-rank catalyst.

Yes, at a high progression, for example, 4 catalysts are little needed. but if I want to upgrade all my 5 and 6 * just like that, I will have to go to the game stores and spend any of the resources to buy 4 crystals, instead of spending these resources on the catalyst 6 or 7 version. that's why I consider it a hoax, passed off as server cleanup. in order to spend more resources later, or for a donation, on more "unnecessary junk" in your words.

    This is about trimming down the database - if they can get rid of every crystal of a certain kind then they can entirely remove it from the database. That's the claim, anyway.

    No they are not, it says tier 4 CLASS specific crystals. It doesn't say tier 4 rng based catalyst crystals....
    What are they even though. Where were they even available.

    Show you stash of crystals that will get automatically opened or stop whinning.
    The only thing that I will agree on, is that we were told for a while that all those items were not the reason the game wasn't running smoothly in the past, or there was this argument that those crystals weren't a big issue to impact in the game performance...

    We’ve been told the amount of particular crystals that a player holds isn’t the issue, it’s the number of unique crystals that causes problems. I don’t think this has changed since the last crystal clean out.
