AI issues accountability

Game is borderline unplayable.
AI is brain dead half the time.
-dexing attacks, special attacks, heavy attacks, relics
-parries attacks, special attacks, heavy attacks, relics
- will not register parries yet when you are simply dashing back it will register as a parry

My patience is up, I buy out every deal and used to every daily/ weekly deals. Spending thoughts of dollars a month sometimes. But I’m officially done.

The fact that Kabam never actually took accountability (there should be daily compensations, not weekly, DAILY) and always blaming on everything and everyone, this season of battlegrounds has been the final straw.

Every single stream you see on YouTube is a rage stream, this game is not healthy nor is it playable at anymore.
You are allowed to disagree but I just needed to vent a little.

I wouldn’t say it’s been terrible lately besides one of my attacks literally making contact and then getting smacked in the face by a special intercept from the opponent

Watching Empy’s tournament and they are also complaining about the AI. But the Uru Kabam defenders will keep disagreeing. I said it months ago.

We keep getting more and more complex attackers and defenders. Which makes the windows to pull off damage or implement a necessary utility smaller and smaller.

All fine, well, and good until the AI clams up to allow the windows miss. Or the AI blocks your striker mid combo. Or simply walks toward you with a perfect light intercept ready to smack you around to kill your combo meter/push you past the bar of power you need/etc

In BG’s that’s almost always an instant loss. Nothing you can do about it.

I will also add to the OP’s point. I think parrying has become iffy again, and yet this BG meta, I can’t count how many times my dex has counted as a parry. Insta stun, goodbye match. You can say “oh, you shouldn’t be swiping with your left hand” - except this interaction occurred far less often until this meta. And I bet it will be back to normal after this mets ends. But because a parry is punishing this meta….it is triggering as a parry instead of a dex far more often.

Regarding the last, it's mostly because before this meta, you would try far less to not parry. You would always be trying to parry as much as you can and not be swiping back. And even if you did get a parry, you would just use it instead of getting stunned back

Not sure I buy that, building up dexes with stark Spidey before this meta… if it happened, 95% of the time I knew I was a fraction late on my dex. Not getting that this meta. But whatever, I can’t prove it. And even if I could it wouldn’t matter anyway. It’s just another AI annoyance at the moment for me.

Unfortunately this problem will never be solved, I believe because they don't want to. The intention is for people to spend money, so an unhealthy AI is profit for them, regardless of the fairness of the game. There are fights where it's obvious that everything is going to go wrong and you're going to lose, no matter how skilled you are.
It used to be a good game, but greed and lack of support are taking the fun out of it.

Imagine if the game implemented a Delay before it registered a Left-Side Press as a Block.
Just to wait and see if you were gonna maybe follow that up with a Swipe for Evade instead of a continued hold for a Block.

Of course that would solve the inadvertent Parry problem, because you wouldn’t be Parry'ing much at all then.

I really really, passionately hate this new WALK OF DEATH that AI have "learnt" from past year,

Learnt because Kabam have said they never touched AI so clearly it's adapting.

Like it will fricking start to WALK at you, not dash, but walk at you and if you try to dash in then 90% of times you're getting light intercepted,
If you try to light attack instead? Lol instant parry by AI,
You try to dash back? It will continue this WALK till you're pinned to wall.

Now AI have began to pair this WALK into light intercepts
Imagine you hitting AI 3 times, dash back, normal AI will follow your dash for opening of intercept.
But now? It will do little WALK and then use light attack, catching you off guard into 5 combo into special attack into WAKE UP INTERCEPT 5 combo.

The AI walking towards you is a premeditated change. The AI is now light intercepting dashes in reaction.

This is the worst because you're screwed. It would be different if only happened with power gain champs you just accept it then. But it's becoming more common in many other champs with regular power rate

The AI issues just seem to get worse as months go by. I understand the game has changed an new champs are more complex an all of it changes things. But its to much. To overtuned. Instant recovers an instant reaction like defender knows exactly what im doing as soon as i press to do it. Overtime you see defenders reacting different an it forces you to change how you fight different defenders. Which i have, learning to fight different champs and the ablilities they have. Then different abilities made defenders fight different an had to learn how to play against each champs AI. Then AI starts reacting different and faster, so have to change up to deal with that. Cant finish full combo while they are unblockable or have a special loaded, dont dash at them if they have a bar of power, but its like now you dont want to dash at them 90% of the time! They will do the short evade an punish you or light intercept you. The hit window is for the player an the defender are not the same. Defender throw these light attacks an heavies an always make contact even when they arent in striking distance! I throw a heavy or light really close to defenders an just miss since my champ doesnt jump forward. And it definitely changes , when unstoppable defenders seem to make contact to early. Some buffs that you benefit when you dex an it gets really hard to get dex to trigger. Have to wait until the defender is basically making contact with my face to swipe back an get it to trigger an still doesnt. But then when defender gets power gain from you gaining buffs, dex triggers easily soon as you evade back. All just to overtuned anymore. Makes important fights take twice as long to do. An getting when these things cost you important matches it gets very aggravating. Striker getting blocked or evaded, getting blocked mid special, part of specials that miss now! So many things. Game isnt fun. Stressful an aggravating.

The thing that I hate the most is you being punished mid combo or when the first hit of a heavy has landed… I can endure as tiresome as it is… but the ones that say is skill issue are the one that make Kabam stay still while this goes on

I can say without qualification that the game I play on my device is anything but consistent. A dex that works for a few minutes in a fight suddenly stops working, or a parry that has gone smoothly suddenly becomes a block or a combo to the face, or a striker button that should work just…doesn’t.

Is the team working on it? At some level, I’m sure they have *fixing these kinds of things* on a list of things to do. The post cited above is from April; there have been real complaints raised for well over a year about AI, mechanics, lag/stutter—you name it. Not all of those complainers are cranks or nutjobs

Game mechanics are frequently all over the place, lag is a real issue for most players and getting wonky vs. compliant AI can be the difference between a great run and utter frustration.

I have a handful of things I’d like to finish in game, but I don’t expect the state of the game to improve while I finish them.

There is a decade plus of code written and rewritten and overwritten. I am simply resigned to the conviction that (1) a fix isn’t coming and (2) malfunction is the regular state of things.

The fun is over, Kabam is too mercenary to think about adjusting it. So much time spent talking about improvement, and it's getting worse and worse.
They are just empty words in posts, there is no improvement, everything is flawed like the game support that is non-existent.

That should in no way be out of the question, but I would put “observable and sustained progress” ahead of compensation every time.

That’s much tougher to achieve than just sending a pack of pots. And more meaningful.

What a joke this AI is, it defines who wins the fight beforehand.
It's getting more and more ridiculous, you make the perfect fight, the last intercept goes wrong and you get a 5-hit combo and lose in the BG, for example.
For me it's turned into garbage, maybe I'll have to pay something for this game project to work properly.
Kabam leaves a lot to be desired, then comes all those lies about improvement and so we go.

Loving the even faster AI reaction times this month. No longer safe to punish Serpent’s sp2, Dust’s heavy, and the backdash parry…

Super thankful that AI is allow to react faster than the images display. Really makes for an enjoyable experience. 🙄

Game controls aren't doing their job then are they. Inputs aren't overloaded they are simple but still require skill. If the game can't determine a players input properly then that's a legitimate fault. The AI speed and framerate impacts this

Yeah but what else can it do? The action required to dex (swipe) involves a tap (touching the screen to begin swiping). There is literally no way around this except delaying the block response, which would feel even worse.

Except on PC, because PC’s superior as always.
